Service is okay. Many individuals can't understand your requests. The atmosphere is nice. Prices are never the same, I order basically the same thing, and depending on who inputs, it depends on the price. If you have 2 bills at your table, they charge both couples for the chips and salsa. Not many options in town.

I like the food and decor here, to me it’s the nicest restaurant I’ve been to in Spencer. It’s the very strongly scented cleaning supplies that kills the experience for me unfortunately. It’s overpowering. When I go to a restaurant I want to enjoy the food I’m eating but unfortunately the smell is so strong it makes me feel like I’m eating their cleaners too. Not sure I’ll keep going back and it is only because of this. Cleaning with unscented or way less scented cleaners would go a long way here for experience! Unless there is an issue somewhere they need to mask I’d say ditch whatever the strong cleaners are and let patrons number one scent experience be the food. Very good wait staff and food. It’s just the smell (esp for a restaurant). I hope this is taken into consideration. Thanks!

We have been coming here pretty regularly and have really enjoyed it. Last night, though, I ordered a taco salad to go for the first time. When I started eating it at home, the tortilla shell tasted like a chemical cleaner. When took a bite, it burned the top of my mouth.
I don't know if they keep the tortillas too close to the cleaning agents or spilled some how on it, but it definitely had been exposed. I called trying to explain to them what happened, so they could check to make sure no one else had this experience. It's really rude and unprofessional when I politely called to explain what I experienced the lady hung up on me either because she didn't understand what I was trying to say or because she didn't want to deal with me.
In addition, their menu online quotes the food at cheaper prices than when you get the bill. Online taco salad $13 chorizo $2 enchiladas $13
I was instead charged: taco salad $14 Chorizo $4.99 Enchiladas $15
I was charged $6 more than what their menu reflected. Check your bill before you pay if you eat here.

Very over priced for average food. Black beans were very runny. I ordered 1 cheese enchilada and she brought me out a plate of 3 for $15. No explanation. I didn't eat the others as I didn't order and was full on the 1 did order. Son ordered fajitas which the daily sign said were on special for $3 off, but they didn't fix our bill on that either. There were 4 of us so we begrudgingly ordered the $7 Chips and Salsa. For 4 people we received a single small 1/2 cup dish of Salsa & then enough chips for 2 people maybe, not 4. Ridiculous. No refiills, no plates for the others to share. This was not some 4 star elegant, fine dining Mexican food. The pricing, quality design are way off. As others have said, the no chips & salsa is dissapointing, as all other restaurants offer this, such as the other local Mexican restaurant right down the road, the one we will return to next time instead of here for far less money and better food.

First time, went there for margaritas. Bartender recommended the Pineapple Margarita, lacked Tequila and tasted more like a fruit juice drink. I think for $9 dollars, it could be much better. Salsa lacked any kick and chips were somewhat stale. After that, we decided not to proceed ordering anything else.
