I never give a 5 rating unless there was absolutely no room for improvement. Having said that, Papi's was exceptionally good. I have noticed a trend in Mexican cuisine to have less and less seasonings in the food, and that was not the case at Papi's. Everything I ate was absolutely delicious, and was almost as good when I warmed it up the next day.

We just discovered this restaurant when taking a trip to Southern Indiana.Food was served hot and tasted as expected, and we ordered chimichangas and soppas, which all was good.We did find it different from most Mexican restaurants, with not serving chips and salsa before the meal.The servers were a bit overwhelmed with a few customers, and although we left a tip, we didn't receive any refills on our lemon water ( which was our drink) or service after receiving our food orders.

Poor service...didn't get chips but asked for them...they were busy so took awhile to get food...server bought wrong meal...sent it back..got it 15 minutes later.wont be back.
Food was really good. A little pricier than most Mexican restaurants but the food was good. The tamale bites were excellent as was the Carnitas fajitas. Server was attentive. Chips and salsa are not free...
