Hoosier Routes - SMALL TOWN, HOMETOWN

My bride and I went to dinner last evening and had the best experience. We enjoy finding new restaraunt’s that offer great food and even better service when we are cruising thru the backroads of Indiana. We stumbled upon Hoosier Routes just by chance. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners of the beef manhattan and roast beef nachos. My goodness they were huge and delicious! The salad, before dinner, was as fresh as it should be. The one thing that made this a restaraunt that we would love to come back to was our amazing server. She was genuinely attentive to us as we never needed anything. She even brought another orange Hi-c out before my first one was half empty! We watched all of the service crew going above and beyond to make all of the customers enjoy their meals just a little more than the average restaraunt. We give credit to the community that helped raise each and every one of the service staff. We witnessed folks coming in that were needing the extra family treatment given by all of the employees. We were made to feel that this was a place for the community to gather for true “comfort” food served by family around the dinner table. We truly love having these experiences when traveling as this is how we raised our children. Thank you for having us and thank you for making us feel like family. We will brag about our dinner experience to everyone.

This place was a lovely find. We can't wait to come back: the food was so homey and delicious and it was an all around pleasant experience. The mac and cheese was fantastic, and I'm a bit picky about that 😂 I don't think you can go wrong!

It's a shame I likely won't have another opportunity to eat here again in the near future. The food and service was fantastic. This was the highest rated local place on a road trip and honestly, 4.7 is too low for this place. 5 stars.

First time visit - won't bother again.
Pot pie was terrible - left over prime rib, frozen vegetables, biscuits on top, no crust, VERY OVER SALTED.
Soup of the day was delicious, but barely warm. Place was pretty much empty, service was adequate, not small town friendly.
Bottled beer brought to table inside the glass I'm supposed to drink it out of 🫤

Just went with friends and had the prime rib! Honestly it was the best I’ve ever had! The service is amazing too! Highly recommend!

Talk about small town atmosphere! The owners are some of the kindest people we've met and the staff is just as great. The food is delicious! From the fish & BBQ to the desserts... and everything inbetween, you'll be missing out if you pass by this place! Make sure to stop in and enjoy some delicious food and great conversation.
