Our first time eating here in Terre Haute, as we were visiting family, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious: we ordered the beef tips as an appetizer and I wanted them all to myself - they were that good! The scallops entree was amazing. I was so happy they had Reisling from the Moselle River area in Germany too, that's my favorite!!

No trip to Terre Haute is complete without dinner at J Ford Black Angus. It's elegant yet familiar, and the food is second to none. While they have the best steaks around, it's hard to pass up their featured specials. The solution? Order some of both! For a meal fit for Father's Day, our table started with the deviled eggs and one of the appetizer specials - fish tacos made with lightly fried sea bass. Neither lasted long on the table. Then a round of salads - two wedges and a 3rd Street - paired with the warm bread and whipped balsamic vinaigrette had me pleasantly full while I looked forward to the entrees. The filet mignon was as good as ever - cooked perfectly and tender enough to almost melt in your mouth. And the broiled sea bass? My wife said it was delicious. It disappeared while I was working on my filet. I was able to sample each of the shareable sides - the sweet potato casserole and the mashed potatoes. Each was delicious!

Another great evening at J Ford Black Angus! My wife had one Grilled Mahi-mahi with fried leek sauce-outstanding with the Beet and Burrata salad. The 8 oz Filet Black N Bleu was delicious with Kelly's salad. Plus, great service from Clay!
First time visiting this evening. Every single item we ordered was perfect. We love food, but the best part of the dinner was our waiter Brian. He answered ALL of our questions about the menu and the ingredients without hesitation and kept up on our table and needs while still giving us space to enjoy our dinner. Thank you Brian and thank you to the rest of the staff that made our dining experience perfect.
