Dagger Mountain Roastery

They have never really made a good tea drink, but the recent “Thai tea” was on another level. I was swindled $7 for orange chai-flavored milk (yes, not even tea flavor to redeem it) masquerading as the simple, and easy-to-make, classic.

It’s one thing for a coffee shop to make bad tea drinks, but they had to actively try to make this one so disappointing. Thai tea = vanilla, black tea, sweetened condensed milk. Either whoever made this seriously has not had a Thai tea before, or they just don’t care enough to be delivering on what they advertise.

What’s tea if not just a vessel to deliver an espresso shot, right?

I mean, I just spent $25 on 2 large coffees & a chocolate milk, but gosh dang this is the best coffee I've ever had in my entire life. If I'm gonna spend money on some coffee, it's gonna be here. Could do without the tarot & witchcraft stuff tbh. But I'll always stop for the coffee.

I’ve been here a couple times and I’ve had great experiences!! I wish I got her name, but the girl with the pink hair has been working when I go and she is such a pleasure. So so kind and helpful!

On top of great service, their lattes are my favorite drinks ever! The maple one and the coconut!!!

Been loving Dagger for many years now, I never had this unfriendly service. I'm in town coming from NC, asked 2lb coffee, she said she doesn't know at all which coffee and how much they have, and will have to check. I said okay sounds good, I got my drink waited 5 minutes she didn't check it either. Her vide unfriendly unwelcoming cold. I don't understand why people cannot be nice and smiling. When this place opened, serving off of tiny room they had much better vibe than this, shame!

One of the best places to get a good cup around Valpo. Fantastic service, and the apparel is awesome to wear. My wife and I love stopping here every time we visit the area!

Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to worry about. The front door is level with the parking lot.

This coffee shop is a hidden gem in Valpo! Their lattes are so smooth and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. Sooo good!

Hidden gem!!!! Excellent traditional coffee house!! (Disclaimer: real barristas work here! This is not a Starbucks or DD!) I had a REAL TRADITIONAL macchiato (the shot glass along with a maple latté. Both were ?!! The wife had a coconut latté & loved hers too!! Will continue to return often!!P.s. Dagger Mountain Roastery is on Dunes Coffee & Sweets Trail!

Damn good coffee. My go to latte is a Miel and this place is the first time I had ever tried it years ago. I stopped by today for the first time in awhile and got a Miel and it was better than I remembered. The person who made our coffee was very kind and everyone else loved their drinks. I also picked up a couple of bags to go. This place is always a go to when I find myself in Valpo.

I've been here twice so far and have had an excellent experience both times! I first had the espresso. It had a nice presentation and taste. The 2nd time I tried the Rwanda pour over. It was absolutely delicious with sweet and dense fruit notes with not too much sourness/acidity.
