I'll start with the food from this bakery, the bread is so soft and fresh. I usually get a big box of bread for family gatherings and all of it disappears. I love the different varieties of bread that you can choose from and the prices for each is not overpriced as some other donut spots around so I definitely recommend buying. Service is great very friendly staff. The ambiance of the bakery is good in the mornings it could be a bit full but during lunch or afternoon it's smoother. Even if it's full it's very well worth the wait. I will keep buying my bread from this bakery for more years to come. Good job!!

Their baked goods are very good. I agree that they make you feel rushed. Today was my 5th and final visit. The workers are so rude and act really annoyed if you ask questions aboutbhow much each item is (since they dont have it posted anywhere). They also huff and puff if you change your mind. It is really hard to support a small biz if they treat their customers so poorly.

I have been to this bakery a lot since I moved to town. I have tried their donuts which are pretty good. Some are not my favorite like their Boston cream. The reason I’m posting this is I ordered a banana cream pie for Easter. It was not good. It only had like a couple slices of bananas and it wasn’t very sweet like they didn’t use ripe enough bananas. Overall I like this bakery their yellow pound cake Easter eggs are to die for. But some things are good others are not so good and sometimes it’s hard to tell what is fresh.

The donuts and Danish were delicious, and could taste that they were much higher quality than grabbing something from the gas station or grocery store. The peanut butter cookie sandwich was very tasty and not overly sweet. Was sure to Ask what everything was priced, and they were very helpful and friendly. One of their signature foods, the YumYum, was excellent. A combination of cinnamon roll like pastry with a brownie and coffee spread that's topped with glaze and chocolate drizzle. Well worth the price and will be back again. Looking forward to getting an apple and cheese coffee cake to share with the family.

I hate recommending Henze's because they are the best kept secret in Porter County. If you want any good selection, get there when they open. Otherwise you are going to miss all the amazing treats they have. The ladies working the counter are amazing and helpful. I missed my favorite donut one time and she told me you can order the day before and pick up the next morning. She highly recommends doing that if you want a cream cheese triangle. They are hands down the best bakery I have ever been too.

Ordered a banana cake and the "banana" flavoring seemed artificial. Yellow was first choice but apparently they didn't have it.. Not the first cake we've gotten here we didn't like.We get their donuts every Sunday and those are usually pretty good. Going to go back to ordering our cakes from Stracks.

I always enjoyed coming here because I like supporting local businesses and their donuts are fantastic. Unfortunately their prices have gotten beyond ridiculous. A dozen donuts cost me over $34. They also don't have prices displayed anywhere that I saw so you don't know what you're going to be spending until you actually select everything. I didn't find that to be a concern initially because their prices have always been generally reasonable in the past. Unfortunately those prices will keep me from returning which is a shame because I really enjoyed their donuts.

I like to try local donut shops for fun. This shop has pretty good reviews so I thought it will be worth to try.I was happy cause there were so many different choices. But no price tags on each items.Anyway I choose a few. I was just excited to try them. And I paid $16 something.I opened the bag when I got home. There were only 5 items.Actually I thought I got more than 5.Are these really worth $16??So I email Henze’s bakery. It was last Thursday to ask how much for each items. No response. Guess they don’t care about it.If they would let me know at least the price.I wouldn’t post here. And it was my fault that I didn’t check the price and got the receipt.I paid less than $30 at Parlor Doughnuts for dozen. Still a mystery are these worth $16?I don’t think so. Sorry Not that great.I wouldn’t go back to this shop.

There was a wide variety, and everything looked scrumptious. The service was courteous and friendly.

The nicest people serving the most amazing pastries. And the prices are so low. Not sure how you do it!
