Absolutely recommend stopping here. This place has been on my list for a good while now, but could never get the family to stop when traveling through.

The building itself is awesome, with the steel girter construction and industrial revolution steel worker figurines and photos everywhere. Who could forget the train traveling throughout the whole ceiling as well. They also had a nice festive touch for the holidays.

All the food was excellent.

Cheese kurd burger- absolutely delicious

Potroast Mac- another awesome dish

Meatloaf- awesome but the sweet ketchup glaze was a bit sweeter than expected

Stroganoff- amazing as well

Nick was a great server. Polite. Quick to get anything that was asked for. Accurate delivery with our group.

Wonderful restaurant with a very unique and comfortable environment! Very friendly staff and wonderful American cuisine. We share Nachos as a light lunch as a group of three and the dish was awesome! Would definitely recommend stopping in while in town. We originally were going to go to the Journeyman foundry that was closed for a private event. This ended up being a wonderful solution!

Absolutely love this spot. Every time I'm in Valpo I try to come here at least once. The food is so very good and I love the atmosphere of the restaurant! Staff is friendly as well. 10/10 even if yall refer to soda as "pop" (I'm kidding about the pop thing but everything else is true!)

We have eaten here before, but honestly have to say that on today's visit, they managed to exceed our expectations at every turn.

Wheelchair accessibility: Great handicap parking right near the door and easy to navigate the restaurant.

We had a celebration of life at the Industrial Revolution. We were in Arizona and I was communicating with the manager of the restaurant knowing nothing about the restaurant but when I googled "celebration of life" this is one of the restaurants that came up in Valparaiso Indiana. Just wanted to say the service, management, and food was excellent. They created a custom menu for us and sectioned off an area for us We had no idea what we were getting into until we actually got there. So going in kind of sight unseen and having this perfect experience. Just wanted to thank management and help in the cooks down to the bus boys for making our celebration of life perfect!

Had pot roast Mac and cheese and a cheese curd burger. Both were delicious. Also had an old fashioned that could've been better but I'm an O/F snob

"Industrial Revolution." The name promised grime, grit, and the ghosts of exploited laborers. Instead, I got a slightly sticky table and a waitress who looked like she'd rather face a firing squad than my Service Dog, Hunter. Ah, the romance of dining out.

But let's talk about the burger. Ordered medium-rare, a risky move in a joint like this, but damn, they nailed it. The patty, a thick slab of ground chuck, oozed juices that stained the Texas toast like engine oil. Each bite was a symphony of fat, salt, and char, the kind of flavor that clings to your ribs and reminds you that life, despite its inherent absurdity, can occasionally offer moments of pure, greasy bliss.

The fries were… fries. But hey, who needs decent potatoes when you've got a burger like this? It's the culinary equivalent of finding a diamond in a coal mine, a testament to the fact that even in the most unexpected places, beauty can emerge.

Our waitress, bless her soul, eventually thawed in Hunter's presence. She even performed a daring rescue mission, retrieving a rogue bun from the floor with the grace of a seasoned tightrope walker. Perhaps there's hope for humanity yet.

The bar itself was a study in dimly lit nostalgia. Dark wood, exposed brick, and enough vintage photos to make a hipster weep. It's the kind of place where time seems to stand still, where the ghosts of a thousand drunken conversations linger in the air like stale cigarette smoke. Not exactly a culinary destination, but a solid pit stop for a damn good burger and a glimpse into the heart of America's working-class past. Just be sure to bring your own tetanus shot.

Ask for Liz to be your server. She's fantastic! Great food, great atmosphere, great service! It's my favorite restaurant in Valparaiso hands down. Whenever I have out of town guests, I always take them here because it's an amazing experience every time.

Food was terrible. Both pizzas and the chicken sandwich were over done. Took my daughter and son-in-law out to celebrate their anniversary and what a waste of time and money! Very disappointed!

On a beautiful Autumn day my server was beautiful Autumn. Beauty is only skin deep, but she did a terrific job: cheerful, informative, and efficient. The fish tacos were delicious and well presented. I am very satisfied.

The restaurant is like walking into a history museum about the industrial revolution. Artifacts are everywhere. A train runs along the ceiling. The food is served in ample portions and appears to be high quality. The meals appear to be prepared by a chef as they do not have a standard run of the mill menu. It is a standalone facility with good food and a nice atmosphere. It provides for a very nice experience. I would recommend it highly.

I went to this place for my birthday because we had a gift card and I absolutely loved it! I had some kind of garlic Parmasean burger on a pretzel bun and a flatbread brick oven appetizer I almost ate it all in one go lol I think the little toy train they have going around the restaurant is pretty cool and the staff was super nice!
