My family and i have been long time customers of JJ's here in Valparaiso. Unfortunately the number of bad times has outweighed the good. One night my husband and i had ordered wings and fries late at night about an hour before close. When we got the food the fries were cold and the wings had no sauce on them. We had asked for extra sauce and didnt get it but got charged. There have been multiple times where they would have to being stuff back. When i had called and talked with the manager i was told that it was right before closing. When you pay at least $30-$50 for food you would want to get what you paid for. We bit the bullet and tried to order several orders after that and everytime something has been wrong. Pizza and fries have been cold, extra wing sauce did not come with them sandwhiches have been wrong. The latest time we ordered itilian beefs with cheese, one had hardly any meat, one was normal (thank god) and then we got a sandwhich that had marinara, beef and some kind of meat that no one could identify. We called back and could get a refund, credit for next time or have the sandwhich remade. Once again its dinner time so we tried to have it remade. Once it came back and hardly had any meat on it but at least it was hot. So now we have to go to Hobart or Portage to get JJ's or go elsewhere?? Over the last 4 years it has gone down hill. I dont know what happened but it has been nothing but let downs and disappointment.

Placed an order at 3:45 for a for 4:45 pickup. Curbside pick up only due to the fire. They charge my credit card at 4:43 I didn’t receive my order till 5:18 No explanation. sorry that’s it

11/1/25. The pizza was awesome but the dining experience was not. We arrived about 45 minutes after they opened for the day and the dining area was a mess! Tables weren’t cleaned off and the floor was dirty. It almost looked like the mess was from the night before because the dining room lights weren’t even turned on yet when we walked in. During our stay not a single employee came out to cleaned anything up and there was at least 4 of them that I saw. The gentleman who took our order was very helpful & friendly but the manager on shift that we had a brief encounter with was not! She was unprofessional and rude.

My experience at JJ's has been disappointing, to say the least. On three consecutive occasions, our requests for extra cheese were ignored, and the pizzas were sauce-less. The cheese, rather than being stretchy, was stiff and unappealing. I suspect that JJ's may have switched to a cheaper cheese option, compromising the overall quality of their pizzas. As a loyal customer, I am disheartened by this decline in standards and can no longer recommend JJ's to others, and I will no longer be ordering here again..:/

Called and asked why I got the pizza I didn't order online, know what buttons I've hit, been a customer since I was none, I'm 47 , not really happy about the way I got treated, not a Karen, just not ho happy with the service, but that's now a days, you g kids don't give a shit!Well ........bye

This place was everything I was hoping for out of a community minded eatery. I was here for about an hour. The entire time I watched they were busy. The people around here LOVED the food. Folks were coming in non stop to pick up orders, calling continuously to place orders. I noticed a strange phenomenon in which as people were carrying food out others were jumping at the chance to hold the door for them. Until my own food arrived I didn't realize why. J&Js stacks topping on their pizza until they are heavy. The customer culture here just knows that a person carrying a pizza from this place needs a hand with the door. I started this review with that thought because if you are looking for dining ambiance this ain't the place. They have a lot of pinball machines and that's cool but I can tell the owners put priority on food which once you try it you will understand. If you are looking for good pizza try this place, just don't be upset about the wait. The wait is because they are busy. They are busy because they are good. Well worth the wait.

My car broke down while picking up a pizza. The staff members were super nice about me having to leave my car in their parking lot until the next day, and kept their word of but having my vehicle towed. They're always just so nice, kind, and respectful, no matter what your business is there, not to mention, they're pizzas are .. Fire 🔥!! Go and get yourself and family and friends a good old Kitchen Sink, and you'll know what like and think!!
