Great breakfast menu. It's small, but the food is great. A lot of locals go here. They know what's good.

Great food, service, atmosphere. No doubt.
CASH ONLY sucked. Mostly because i wasn’t aware and ended up having to use their in-house ATM and pay their fees plus my banks fees. Man that really frustrates me!

Great breakfast - try the biscuits and gravy. The burger was great as well. Cash only, so be ready. Fast friendly service.

We are in town on business looking for a breakfast place we woke up way too early close to our hotel we saw West Virginia we try it what a great little hidden treasure this is service was so fast we couldn't believe how fast food came out good hot if you haven't been here if you live here try this place out
Really disappointed with the last few visits. Very much gone downhill. Food is awful anymore. Cashier was quite rude when I was asked about how the food was. Not sure how you screw up a biscuit that bad…it was like something out of an MRE. Won’t be back.

Jimmy's Cafe in Valparaiso had some positives, but the cash-only policy and limited menu were significant drawbacks. My wife and I recently went for breakfast with another couple and were seated immediately. Our server, who I believe was also an owner, was incredibly sweet and attentive, which was a definite plus. However, the menu was surprisingly small and lacked many breakfast staples you'd expect at a diner, like Eggs Benedict. I ordered the French toast, which was just okay. I wasn't a fan of the syrup, and overall, I was disappointed with the limited choices. I would have rated Jimmy's Cafe higher if it weren't for the fact that it's cash only. In 2025, it's hard to believe any establishment still operates this way. If the issue is credit card fees, the solution is simple: post a sign about a service charge for credit card transactions. This way, customers have the choice to pay with a card if they're willing to pay the fee. It puts the decision in the customer's hands. Because of this outdated policy, I won't be returning.
Great food, great prices. And Greek hospitality!!

This is definitely a hidden gem... it's like taking a trip back in time... the old diner feel brings back so many memories... the prices are reasonable and the food, let me tell you, is so good and really has that home cooked taste... if you haven't been here you're missing out....
