I did not get the attention I deserved. Drove there in a brand new cadillac, they let me sit in a booth while they served another couple that came in after me. I left, the hostess ask me if I was done I said you won't serve me.i left and won't return again.
Wonderful place to celebrate our anniversary! Food was amazing! Thanks for making it special for us!

Kelseys is ok. I've never had a meal there that was better than what I can cook. I will say the blue cheese dressing was very good.

Stopped in here tonight after a terrible first impression of Journeyman’s Distillery. Food, service and value was phenomenal. Prime rib, soup, salad, everything. Even the daughter loved her cheeseburger. Will definitely be returning more frequently.

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting without feeling overly formal, and we appreciated the complimentary birthday cake — a nice touch.
Unfortunately, the overall experience was overshadowed by poor service. From the moment we walked in, we felt judged. One member of our party was laughed at for ordering a well-done steak, and when another guest became ill, staff followed them to the restroom in a way that felt invasive and disrespectful. To top it off, our check was abruptly dropped at the table without so much as a “thank you”.
What makes it worse? We still tipped 20%, out of habit and respect — which, in hindsight, was far more than the service deserved.
Despite the good food, the lack of courtesy and professionalism made for an uncomfortable evening. We will not be returning for dine-in service.

Kelsey’s is a well-known steakhouse in Valparaiso, Indiana, located at 2300 E. Morthland Dr. It has a cozy, upscale yet relaxed atmosphere. The menu is classic steakhouse fare with a good selection of steaks, seafood, appetizers, sides, salads, and a dessert menu that includes their popular “Howie” chocolate mousse cake. Service was amazing!

My wife and I met in Valparaiso, IN for a puppy handoff before the 4th and decided to grab dinner at Kelsey's. We are so glad we did. It is an upscale dining experience with a casual feel. We decided to each get a different entree and split them. Megs ordered the Bourbon Glazed Salmon and I the 7 oz. Filet. We cut each in half and shared. Good Lord both were absolutely amazing! The sides we received were equally deserving of boasting about. The Sweet Potato was divine and the garlic mashed were perfect. Our server, Lori, was a delight, with a knowledge base for the food and restaurant that were top notch. She was fantastic as our server. We highly recommend Kelsey's and if we are in the area again, we will definitely stop in.

let's start with the delicious dessert. very good. the service was very good. prices are a bit high but for what you are paying for, 2 filets had to be sent back..ordered medium and one was medium rare the other almost rare. the prime rib had so much fat, worst ever had. 3 of the 5 meals were less than favorable. 5 people, the bill was over $300, no alcohol.
My girlfriend and I had a phenomenal dinner here. The food was great and so was the service. I'll definitely be back!
Great food and a great family environment, we have been coming here for years!!!
My family has been going there since I was a child. Great food, great staff, and a nice atmosphere for any special event or just a place to grab dinner.
It bills itself as a steakhouse yet they could not properly cook my porterhouse. One of the staff came over to explain that it was difficult to cook a porterhouse. WHAT?!? You are a steakhouse and not inexpensive. I ALWAYS order a porterhouse and never received a well done when I asked for medium well. Gino's did it, Chicago cut did, Theo's did and so did Prime to name a few. So why is it hard for you? Because it's not a real steakhouse. That sucker was dry. Before dinner a woman introduced herself to my husband and I, yet when we had a problem, she remained absent from our table offering no apology no nothing. Our waitress was impeccable!!! Had it not been for her, the entire evening would have been TRASH. This was 9/24/24. Will I revisit, no! Definitely not recommend.
