Very cool place! Great place for drinks and a good dinner or snak. Had the Fish & Chips and The Yardbird for dinner on tree lighting night, so it was a full house but the service was absolutely great. We will definitely be back š š
We were in town for a graduation. We did not have a reservation, and they found room for the five of us. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The cocktails were fun and tasty. My husband doesn't like mac and cheese. He ate half of mine along with his own dinner. Everyone at the table tried my mac and cheese dinner I ordered and loved it. Next time, I'm saying hands off.

Love the atmosphere here. Mark is the best. Staff is great. I usually pick from there revolving weekly specials. A must find your visiting.
Great food! First and last time we will dine in. Our server spent a great deal of time visiting with Co worker's and talking with other tables which wouldn't be a problem if she didn't forget our soup and beverage refills, and didn't come back to our table to get our actual order until 15 mins after soup was finally delivered. The kitchen wasn't slow, I watched her get refills for other tables after taking our order instead of placing our order then grabbing refills and greeting new tables. I served for over 20yrs, and recognize when a server is in the weeds because few server's or if they are lacking. More than enough staff on the floor for the among of tables.

I ordered the grilled chicken pesto tacos off the specials menu and they were very dry and flavorless. Sadly, I could even taste the thinking behind them. āHey, we have this leftover chicken, letās just throw some tomatoes and pesto and a TON of Parmesan cheese on top and call it a day.ā Very lazy, and not appetizing at all. So terribly disappointed, as Iād been wanting to try this restaurant for so long. Also, the garden salad was just a glob of giant, uncut spring lettuce with a smattering of cucumber and a few cherry tomatoes. I get it. āGardenā salad. What did I expect? But comparatively, again, this was a lazy garden salad. The only saving grace was the great server.

Was in Valpo visiting a friend who always takes us to the best food placesā¦ we started off with the crab cakes and buffalo cauliflower which were both good appsā¦ I went with his suggestion the Pork Chop Expressā¦ perfect meal for my long weekendā¦ the green beans and mash potatoes paired perfectly with this..! The wife tried their Fish and Chips and they did not disappoint..! We topped the meal off with the Apple Kuchen and it was a great way to close the evening for usā¦
The staff were very friendly and efficientā¦ the bar was quick with our drinks and they seemed fairly busyā¦ the restaurant was clean and had a nice decorā¦ could definitely see this as a great place for a couple or a partyā¦ Iāll be back when I come through town again for sure..!

On a weather rich day, this place's outdoor seating really shines, and on dreary evenings the indoors are plenty welcoming. It's like a being in a Norman Rockwell painting - lots of regulars, the aesthetics of the food and drink make your eyes salivate, and very yuppie (not in a bad way perse, but there's too many golf polos to not point this out).
Overall, I feel the drinks and starters are just better than the mains. Pricing on quality beer and cocktails is just better than the surrounding eateries without sacrificing quality. And the appetizers are more fun and flavorful than I've come to expect from a place like this. Yet every time I've been here, I feel like I'm overpaying for a good-but-not-great entree.
As a date spot to get to know someone or just catch up with your posse? Excellent choice, would always recommend. Seeking a gastro pub experience to entertain your pallette? It'll do, just wouldn't be my first pick.

Went in for the first time this past weekend and was not that impressed with the food. A lot of my vegetables had an odd taste like they were starting to go bad and my steak had a peculiar aftertaste. My fiancĆ© enjoyed his meal enough but agreed it wasnāt what he was hoping for, especially for the price. The worst part about dinner was the loud crowd around us. Of course the restaurant canāt do anything to help that, but it was extremely frustrating that a few gentlemen at the table right next to us kept shouting throughout the entire night. Our server was extremely wonderful however! She was very attentive, however I do not think weāll be returning.
