The food is always delicious here. Never had a bad meal. My fiancée and I usually go for special occasions. Love sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen flow like an orchestra. My favorite restaurant.

As person who worked there and i have anxiety i even show him the papers about ny condition and metal health. You get no break and your force to work overtime. Always getting mad when things don't go fast or get his way The owner is a wolf in sheep clothing. Don't be fooled he seems nice but all he care about is money. Short staffed all the time. I walked out from there only working there for a week. I wanted my pay that week I worked. He said no due not signing a w-2 (which that is illegal you have to pay your employees even if they didnt sign a w-2) someone the hours they work and told me I was a punk because I walked out. Hey here some advice George get more workers so that way your food can be served faster and dont have to yell at them. You cheapskate. Call someone a punk for walking who have anxiety out walks out. Employees health is important not your company. Also fix flooding issue with your drains your floors won't be so wet if you get everything fixed.

Calamari was great, Filet was cooked perfectly and the mashed was out of this world. Great service as well. We were at a private event in the back room which was very nice. It really was quite lovely. I ate my leftovers the next day at work and they were asking what smells so great so I gave them a small bite of the filet and mash and they both closed their eyes and made a small happy sound. REALLY quality food!

Dont plan to come here unless you have 2 hours plus to spare for two people. Had to rearrange my whole Saturday evening by canceling my other plans because my food took too long to get to the table.Food and service was good but there is no reason food should take this long and as you can see from the other reviews it seems to be an on going issue for a while. I’ve loved coming here for years and I’ve had to wait long everytime. Won’t do it anymore

What a great experience to go along with an amazing meal. Drinks, appetizer (charcuterie board), mains (chicken piccata and burger), and dessert were all great. Service was on point and attended to all of our needs. We've gone to just about every place downtown Valpo and M&L is just on another level. We have been before and will be back again and again.

We sat at the bar on a slow Friday evening. Bartender got us water and 1st round of drinks. After that, we were an afterthought as she got soaked into a deep conversation with an aquantince at the bar top. We ordered our food. I chose the Ribeye medium rare, and my buddy chose the pork tenderloin. Roughly 35 minutes later, the non engaged bartender let my friend know that they ran out of whipped potatoes and that they would double up on the vegetables ( very little veggies were on his plate ). My top sirloin oops, I mean my ribeye was flat and flavorless although cooked to temp It lacked in what I call a Ribeye. For such an up close and personal operation of seeing the chefs prep and prepare your dining experience within view, it was a lack luster dining experience.

I visited on a Saturday evening with a friend and was completely enchanted with the entire experience. From the attentive wait staff to the unique and delicious flavors throughout each dish, every detail was perfection. In a downtown full of so many other restaurants and multiple shops, I wasn’t expecting to find a place that transports you from the overwhelming hustle and bustle to an intimate environment that allows you to feel a world away, but that is exactly what Main & Lincoln did! I sincerely enjoyed every minute spent here and will definitely be visiting to experience it all again soon. I would definitely recommend Main & Lincoln to anyone looking for more than your typical restaurant atmosphere; you will not be disappointed!
