What they don't tell you about this place is how the food makes you feel. Eating here feels like seeing the sun for the first time, or getting a hug from your favorite person in the world. It feels like how you feel when you listen to your favorite song. It's comforting, calming, delicious, and out of this world! The chef really knows what she is doing and everyone there is what makes this place so special!!!
We have been wanting to check out Meditrina for a while now. It did not disappoint! The interior was reminiscent of a cozy Cafe we visited in North Africa. The service was amazing, and the food was FULL of flavor. To top it off, the Turkish coffee reminded us of coffee we had in North Africa as well. As I have struggled to replicate the recipe at home, I asked for their technique. Not only did the staff share the recipe, they also gave us a sampling of their coffee grounds to enjoy at home! We will be returning to try more items on the menu for sure!

The food is great. Some of the best falafel I’ve had in the area. Meat was well spiced.But I paid 18$ for the kefta sampler and got 4 tiny pieces of feta.They also put a cold salad in a container with hot food so by the time I got home it was a bit mushy.No pita for the hummus but I just dipped my falafel in it.Overall the food is good but just disappointing for the price I paid.

The food is always high quality, no matter what I order. Many restaurants I go to, there is only one thing on the menu that is consistently good, or when the cook changes, that is not even good, however, no matter what I get at Meditrina, all the entrees are good, and the wait staff is always gracious. The restaurant is cozy, the tables are close together, but that is part of the experience. One person in our party has certain food intolerances, and the kitchen made sure the entree had no ingredients in it that would cause a issue.

Fresh, well prepared and just DELICIOUS! The falafel and chicken shawarma was the best I've had to date and rivals any I had eaten in Minneapolis. Staff were on top of their game. We went for lunch and it was a a full house with a steady flow of customers coming and going. The pomegranate rosewater lemonade was refreshing as well!

Love this place ❤️ I was visiting from out of town, Houston, and went with my sister my niece the food was delicious. The white wine was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice. It was very small, but we all fit must’ve been a popular spot. There were so many people waiting, but really enjoyed this little place. I will surely visit when I come back into town.Parking: We parked across the street in the lot was no problem.

Have loved this gem of a restaurant in Valpo for years. The food is so good, the service is amazing, and the atmosphere looks cramped at first, but then you sit down and it's nice and intimate. They've really made the place nice over the years and clearly care about taking care of the place. High recommend!
