Every time we've been there it's all been amazing. The amount of food you get is wow and the price is really reasonable. The staff is always super friendly.

Have never been but been trying to call for 3 days now to order pick up. Called at least 10 times each day and not one time has anyone answered the phone... Checked the net for another number but only one listed. Oh well, guess I'm not eating here ever.

Love the Fiesta combo. Quiet since loss of liquor license sadly. Hub misses a beer with dinner. Always a good meal though. Beats many other Mex eateries.

Good Mexican food, the same as the Pepe's you remember from a very long time ago. I suggest the tostadas. Prices are excellent, and the specials are nice. They don't charge for things like home made jalapenos and sour cream, which is a wonder in today post-pandemic environment of nickle and diming your for everything. The building is aging a bit since it opened, but it's not a big deal. Staff is attentive and always does a good job. The only thing I wish was that they would get their liquor license back because I really miss their drink specials.

This Pepe's, in Valparaiso, is my favorite in the region. They make their own flautas, and it reminds me of when I first had them in Mexico. I also like their salsa better than the other Pepe's.

This location seems to be on the downhill slide and we ignored the signs. The hand written notice on the door and general look of neglect should have made us turn around and leave. The interior was worn and shabby but mostly clean. The legs of the chairs at the table next to ours really needed a good scrubbing and made me wonder what else isn't cleaned on a regular basis. The waitress didn't answer our question about an item on the menu. We ordered it anyway and regretted it. We're still not sure what was in it. The chips tasted of old oil and the salsa was unimpressive. My chicken burrito had dubious gristly contents and very little seasoning. The rice seemed to be several days old and the refried beans were bland and mushy. When the cashier asked if our food was good, I just couldn't tell her how awful it was. It seems she knew it was bad but was helpless to do anything.

Went today and am wondering why it took us so long between our last visit and this one! Our food was great as always. But service was amazing. The lady we had today was the best server we have had at a restaurant ever! She made us feel as though she was hosting us at her home. We have a family of 6 and our bill was under $50, minus the tip which was WELL deserved.

The food was great, but this time around the chips and salsa just didn't seem the same. Salsa was fine but the chips didn't seem homemade... Thin, cold, and tasteless. And are alcohol sales truly ever coming back? Fix those two things and Pepe's Valpo can earn it's rightful 5th star.
Worst meal we have ever had. From Michigan and had much better there. We will be back down here, would never recommend them.
