However the service was absolutely horrible waitress acted like we were a bother to her. I set an empty cup of water at the end of the table for my waitress to ignore me. She waited on the table next to us 5 times without even acknowledging us. Then walked up to the table after I flagged her down to ask what I needed.
I could understand if she was busy or had more than 1 other table besides ours.

Your restaurant was closed I placed an order online not knowing that and it accepted the order you still withdrew the money from my bank and have not put it back. I am fighting this with my bank now

But the odd thing was a child who was going table to table selling candy bars. Huh ? I couldn’t tell if this child had a connection to the restaurant or was a random child peddling to diners. Completely intrusive and inappropriate. I expect a shakedown like this outside a grocery store but not while dining out. Complete turn off.

This has been my favorite place for Mexican food since it opened. Everything is so fresh and it's always consistent. The guac/salsa/queso and chips are amazing, and their tortillas are just out of this world. One of my top recommendations to anyone visiting Valpo and looking to eat.

Ordered carryout, 2 veggie tacos. Got steak tacos. Ingredients just dumped in the carryout box. Tortilla were so greasy the broke up and couldn't be picked up.
I would have given a full 5 stars for the food too but I had 3-4 bits of meat in my burrito that I just couldn't chew through and spit out.

Usually we love this place and the service is good. I should start by saying the food is exceptional. Best pastor anywhere. On this visit, we asked to sit in a specific booth and the host paused and asked if we wanted to sit in another location. It was by the door and it was cold so I reiterated that I would like to sit in the booth I requested. Again a rude pause and she sat us where we wanted, then proceeded to go in the back with other employees and talk shit about us. Usually we are greeted immediately, but this time we waited 5 minutes before anyone came to the table. Obviously ghosting us, so we left. We eat there a lot and we are seriously debating never going back, as we drop $70 dollars on another Mexican restaurant in the area. Very disappointing.
