Did you guys seriously have to re-brand yourselves as a separate entity of Journeyman because your reviews were so bad?
I'll never understand how you got it right in Three Oaks and everything here is abysmal. From the terrible drinks -- to the mediocre food, and awful service.
And you're serving Swannell in lieu of Coke products now? Seems like all the money went to the rebuild and nothing else. Seriously Swannell? Tell me you're not cutting corners without telling me.
There are so many better and cheaper options in Valpo. If you want to come to a restaurant based SOLELY on beautiful open spaces, this is for you.

Didn't even finish or keep the brussel sprouts, cheesecake, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, chicken sandwich, or fries. Most of it was under seasoned or too salty. There are so many better options in Valpo.

Everything was fantastic! We had the maple brussel sprouts, loaded potato fritters (that sauce!), the French dip (melts in your mouth), and the best cocktails were the Painkiller, Brewtini, and Liv-Lav-Love. The lemon pie was great, and the brownie Sundae was fantastic (that orange caramel!)! Quick and attentive service, even on a holiday!

The Mac and Cheese might be one of the best things ever. The cheese stretch is impressive and the BBQ on top is wonderful. The journeyman burger there is just ok. I would not get it again. The beef patties had no flavor. The Smoked Old Fashioned had no smokey flavor at all, just a bunch of floaties in the drink. I would not get it again either.
Service was a little slow considering it was empty.
Atmosphere is great even better after dark

We’ve been customers of Journeyman for many years. Our daughter actually got married at Journeyman in Three Oaks. Including the wedding, we have never been disappointed with the quality, food or service. Tonight was no different as we visited the Valparaiso location. The food and drinks were exceptional, and David the bartender offered top notch service. Thank you for the consistent quality and service!

We sat for 10 minutes without even being greeted. We then asked for our waiter and the hostess said “I’ll go grab him”. Another seven minutes went by and nothing. Not even a water. So, we left.
Great food and drinks, and spacious restaurant.

Great food, awesome service. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free, all clearly marked on the menu. Really nice building and industrial/modern vibe. A little confusing figuring out where the hostess desk is, near the entrance to the gift shop.

We’ve been a few times and service is always extremely friendly and consistent! If it’s a little slow it’s because it’s busy and the kitchen/bar is slammed, no fault of service. Atmosphere is unique and a great use of this industrial space.
Drinks are always delish and pack a punch, worth the price! They definitely get that right which is good for a distillery.
As far as the food goes, the menu is trying to reinvent the wheel. They manage to put an alcohol twist in nearly every dish, when they that don’t need it. For example, it would be nice to have garlic mashed potatoes without a sweet brandy gravy :) Just tastes kinda icky.
However to end on a positive note: Sunday brunch and the fried chicken/biscuits and gravy is one of the best breakfast meals I’ve ever had!!! If they put a fried chicken sammie on their daily menu, I’d consider going more often. I’ll be sticking to their fabulous Sunday brunch instead of going for dinner :)
