Well this place is a little gem! Stopped by last night just to have a drink ended up staying 3 hours! Austin was absolutely amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed and suggested the French dippers!! I’m pretty sure it was the best French dip I’ve ever had!! The bun was perfectly toasted and the meat was ridiculously tender and juicy! Thank you Austin and team for such a wonderful experience!!! We will be back for sure!!

Growing up in a small NWI town and then living down the street from niche Chicago cocktail bars, The Waiting Room transports you to a social, unique, and (most of all) fun world. Vinyl records are there a plenty with an amazing sound system and the creativity of the staff never ceases to amaze.
P. S. Ask the lovely Maggie for an elderflower sour... or tell her things you like and she will create your new favorite drink.

Seriously guys what an amazing place!!....came in on a particularly rough work day for a small snack and drink. I can't begin to describe how incredible the food was .... Some of the best dood I've ever had in my life!! The bar staff were knowledgeable, hard working, fun and friendly, the place was SPOTLESS and omg how cool was the decor!! And the music THANK YOU FOR FINALLY HAVING A PLACE WITH GOOD MUSIC IN VALPO!! Absolutely a must go to! (We'll be bringing everyone we know) Thank you guys! I'll be back ....SOON!

I've been a regular at The Waiting Room since it opened, and it's always a great spot to meet up with friends for a drink or some good food. The atmosphere is lively and fun, and the staff is friendly and attentive.
From my first visit until today, the service has consistently impressed me. Tayler, Maggie, and Austin will never let you down! They are always very friendly and mindful of the needs of everyone at the bar. They are also very knowledgeable about their menus and will make some great recommendations!

Good vibes, fun place to hang, have drinks and unusual appetizers. The bonus is how WR lives up to its billing as a Hi-Fi Lounge with a top of the line vinyl sound system! Nice and needed addition to the Valpo entertainment and social scene.???️
