Holy arcades!!!! Best place ever for the kiddos.

Tonight me, my fiance and little sister went to Zao Island and went on the GoKarts. We did all the laps and got called back in. While us three were stopped ready to get out, I heard a mom say “slow down” and her child drove into the back of my cart, didn’t brake at all and I hit my head so hard on the back of my seat. To the mom, you and your little boy are not at fault at all! The workers should’ve said slow down or show them how to brake beforehand. They didn’t even check if any of us were okay afterwards. I think there needs to be an age restriction on the GoKarts or at least a mandatory demonstration for the little ones before they drive. I absolutely love Zao and mean no harm but the workers for the GoKarts needed to handle the situation better for the future. 🫶🏻

Was in the area and came here with my son and Dad on a whim. Not until we arrived I realized it was the place with Big Dragon we drove by all the time when I was a kid 1990s. It was great to see this place in awesome shape. Staff was nice, food smelled good and we had fun! In a day where places like this are dying out, it was awesome to see soo many people coming and enjoying themselves.

Lazer tag staff tries to scam us by all swiping cards numerous times saying there's no balance & don't care to offer help, just say oh well or pass you off to another staff to help you. Had to talk to 4 different staff to check the history (which confirmed what we thought) to get a full refund. Be careful. Idiots working and don't care.

Kids love it. When friends and relatives from out of town visit, their kids often request a stop by Zao Island Food is pretty good but not a reason in itself to visit. Between two mini golf courses, go karts, and an arcade there's tons for us to do. Arcade has a mix of mobile games like Temple Run ported to an arcade all the way up to games where you can put on a VR headset. Good for the hot, sunny days when you don't want to go outside and the rainy days where you are stuck inside. They also have batting cages and some other activities we haven't tried. There's a bunch of tables near the arcade area so parents can hang out and let the kids have a sense of freedom, while also being able to keep an eye on them.

Weird nitpick but their bathroom only had air dryers and after 90 seconds my hands still weren't dry. If you're weird like me and hate having greasy or sticky hands, consider bringing some wipes and napkins along with you.

If all their private rooms are reserved, there is a Burger King next door where you can eat and do gifts before you go have fun at Zao. It's also the budget-friendly option.

You buy a little card to load credits on. Make sure your kid doesn't get impatient and swipe several times after it doesn't read once or twice, or you will end up having to play four Guitar Hero songs in a row like mine😆. You can keep that between visits to save a dollar or whatever it costs. It adds up over time if you have lots of guests visiting and taking their kids over there.

It is fun. Has many different activities to enjoy. Looks like the go carts are fun. We did the miniature golf whic is particularly adventurous. Don't take it as serious as an actual exactly designed putt putt, however you can get holes in one. This is designed for fun, amusement and laughter. Really fun challenges which my husband and I just had to conquer. The designer must have had nightmares to create this course. It's very creative! We loved it. Go at night even more difficult. Remember to just have fun with your group.

Really kind of in disrepair. We had a good time but probably won't be back.

Zao Island has some really great pizza to be an attraction zone. My kids & grand kids loved running around outside playing on the go carts, the batting cages, the game room, laser tag (of course). When it was time to leave they didn't want to leave their pizzas. We even ordered a veggie pizza. Who'd have thought. We will definitely visit again.

Good food, good fun.

Too many big games, add some smaller single play games. Try some old school games like pac man or galaga

Jess Johnson

Lots of fun stuff to do, although you have to pay for everything individually.

We had a great time. While taking pics of my group on the go carts, their smiles made me smile.
The pizza was sooo good. Cheese stringing from your bites. The staff and the public were very friendly. And good music playing.
