Ninja Express – Fast, Flavorful, and Fun!
From the moment I stepped through the door of Ninja Express, I knew I was in for something special. The warm lighting, casual yet inviting décor, and faint aroma of fresh sushi rice and sizzling stir‑fry immediately set the stage for an unforgettable meal. What I didn’t expect was the delightful surprise of seeing young family members pitching in behind the counter — smiling, efficient, and clearly part of the restaurant’s heartbeat. It gave the entire experience a charming, home‑style feel that’s rare to find in a fast‑casual dining spot.
The ordering process was quick and easy. The staff — both adults and the young helpers — worked together like a well‑choreographed team, moving with the precision that lives up to the “Ninja” in the restaurant’s name. You could tell that everyone there took pride in what they were doing, from carefully plating sushi rolls to making sure the tables stayed spotless.
Now let’s talk about the food — the true star of the show. The sushi was nothing short of phenomenal. Each roll was a perfect balance of flavor and texture, with fresh fish that practically melted in my mouth. The rice was seasoned just right, slightly tangy with that signature hint of sweetness. I tried several rolls, but the standout for me was the Dragon Roll, which layered avocado, eel, and a drizzle of eel sauce in such harmony it could have been a symphony. The Spicy Tuna Roll packed just the right amount of heat without overwhelming the clean taste of the tuna.
Beyond the sushi, Ninja Express offers a variety of cooked dishes that are just as impressive. Their teriyaki chicken was tender, juicy, and bathed in a glaze that struck a perfect sweet‑savory balance. The stir‑fried noodles had a satisfying chew, tossed with crisp vegetables that still had a nice bite to them — a sure sign they’re cooked to order.
One of the things I appreciated most was how quickly the food arrived, without sacrificing quality. True to the “Express” in their name, this is a place you can visit for a fast lunch break or a relaxed dinner. The speed of service, paired with the evident care in preparation, made the whole experience seamless.
As I enjoyed my meal, I couldn’t help but notice the friendly banter between the staff and customers. There’s a real sense of community here. The presence of the children helping behind the counter added an authentic family‑business charm — not in a gimmicky way, but in a way that reminded me of small neighborhood spots where everyone pitches in.
By the time I left, I was already planning my next visit. Ninja Express is more than just a place to grab a quick bite — it’s a reminder that great food, fast service, and genuine hospitality can all live under the same roof. Whether you’re craving expertly made sushi or hearty cooked dishes, this is a restaurant that delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food served with heart.

Food was really good for the price! Rice was warm enough to be fresh, smelled good (which is usually a problem with not fresh sushi). Chopsticks easy to grasp. Music jammable. Nice people. Cute turtle.

Updated April 2025. Had to downgrade. Used to love the Tonkatsu but today it was chewy and dried out, although crispy. The fried rice has no flavor and the hibachi vegetables were mostly broccoli and onion. A bit disappointed.
Was very disappointed I ordered shrimp and rice I'm paying what you pay for it I would figure that you would at least get more than two shrimp it wasn't very good at all not tasteful I will not order there from again
Been here multiple times the food is cooked right in front of you fresh every time and authentic japanese sodas! It really does feel like a slice of japanese culture right here in wabash.
Probably the best place, in my opinion, to get asian food around this area. Especially without having to drive to fortwayne or kokomo and the prices are very reasonable
The food was great will come again
Excellent food and service. Food was cooked fresh and didn’t take long. Seems like a small business working really hard to get it right.

This is the best sushi my boyfriend has had since being in Japan. I didn't like sushi until I tried sushi from here. My favorite were the ninja roll and the indy 500 roll.

It was ok when it first opened. The past several times I've had it the food has been overcooked/dry and today it was pink. Also got my order wrong (again).

After eating here several times, I've concluded that I don't trust not getting sick here. I love white tuna. When I order it here, it looks white, but when I turn it over, it's yellow and orange. Why? Is it old? Not stored properly? I don't know, but I dont trust it. Now the soft shell crab roll is pretty good and they're good at accepting special requests. The miso soup is also not right. Basically it's kinda hit n miss here, which honestly is not good enough for eating sushi.

I got delivery tonight and whoever packed my order left a bunch of water in my house salad and then put it in the bag sideways so when I got it the bag was drenched and leaking and everything was wet
