Barbee Hotel & Restaurant Reviews
best prime rib I've had in the whole United States
The food was mediocre and service was slow. We sat across from a table with a small child that dropped a lot of food on the floor. After the family left the staff did not bother to clean the floor and left the food all over the floor then sat another party at that table. It was noticeable enough that no one wanted to sit at that spot. This is unacceptable and gross. My husband ordered the Prime Rib which was very fatty. I had the filet which was over seasoned and salty....read full review
This the guy who goes into ink free and talks badly on someone else’s physical appearance. Maybe next time you have a negative opinion you should keep your opinions to yourself. Owner is a POS of a human.

Barbee Hotel & Restaurant is a wonderful dining destination with great service that has become very popular with both locals and visitors. The menu offers a variety of options, including pasta carbonara with Maple Leaf duck, burgers, and tortellini. Appetizers such as calamari, potato skins, and firecracker shrimp stand out, along with tasty starters like bruschetta and goat cheese marinara. The restaurant is set in a cozy old hotel filled with history, adding a unique atmosphere to the dining experience, with stories of famous past guests like Al Capone.
While the food is loved for its generous portions and reasonable prices, some diners have noted challenges with the low lighting, which can make it hard to see across the table. The service is often praised as friendly, attentive, and efficient, especially for larger parties. Guests have enjoyed a range of entrées, including ribeye, lasagna, and a fish sandwich, but have encountered some issues with certain dishes, like overly salty calamari and a goat cheese dip that lacked balance.
Barbee Hotel & Restaurant is an excellent choice for celebrations, as one couple discovered while celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary. However, it is recommended to visit during off-peak times for a quieter meal, as noise levels can be high at times. Overall, it is a cool spot with a lot of character, some standout items, and very good service, making it a place many look forward to returning to.
