First time visiting this restaurant. My wife had the Mac Tavern salad and I had the 4 piece fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. We both enjoyed our meals and will definitely return. It is off the beaten path and signage is about nonexistent. Don't let the pictures of the chicken scare you. I honestly didn't taste the pepper even though it was very visible in the breading. Awesome local tavern. I had the fried chicken and the fried green beans and both of them were fantastic. Both the patrons and the staff were really friendly. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and it was standing room only, so be prepared to wait, even at off times. I will say, the wait was worth it!
Extremely cool place to stop. This is a classic small town bar/tavern with a simple menu but everything was excellent. Super friendly waitresses, they were friendly with us and treated us like we were regulars. Very reasonably priced. We got cauliflower as an appetizer, the pork tenderloin sandwiches and the chicken sandwich. The appetizer was good, highly recommend the chipotle ranch. The tenderloin was delicious and hit the spot since we don’t have them near our home… but...
