First visit to this Einstein Bagel. The food was very good and the service was fast and friendly.

Really like the veggie avocado sandwich, the onion bagel, the everything bagel, and the caramel macchiato. Great breakfast and would definitely recommend trying.

My husband and I ordered here online on 9/1. Spending $40 on breakfast. It told us to pick up in 15-20 minutes and we did but we ended up getting there at closing right after they had locked the doors. We sat there knocking while the workers were right there completely ignoring us. The only way I was able to come in was because of this couple leaving. I don’t understand how if you know you have an order still needing to be picked up that is already paid for, you would sit there and ignore them at the door. Also, they forgot my burrito I paid for. So I would like a refund for that.

Got scammed at this place. Somebody stole our order ahead (we used the app) and the store said they couldn't refund it nor make another, unless we ordered it again...so we'd have been paying double what we would have. We had to request refunds through the app that took over a month to come through. And we didn't get our food.

Good bagels but nothing spectacular about it. The Santa Fe sandwhich was good, and the Maple house was of my taste.
The Nova Lox was pretty ordinary but I usually prefer less cream cheese and more salmon.

There was a small fly roaming around the bagels; I saw one on the onion bagel.

I’m still fairly new to Lafayette, but I’ve been to many different Einstein Bros. Bagels and this was the worst experience I’ve had.

My wife and I decided to go here for the first time today. She’s never been to Einsteins and I wanted her to try it out. Luckily, she didn’t come inside this time.. because the way one of the employees acted would have set her off on the way the employee acted towards me.

The employee was a short lady with glasses and a red shirt that said “I’d rather be the baker.” Very short tempered and antsy. She seemed new but she also seemed old enough to know better.

She often had to turn around to ask another employee for advice/questions, which is fine. But I noticed that she had bumped onto another employee as she quickly turned around and didn’t even apologize for her actions. It seemed like she was antsy about the time and often turned to check the door if someone had walked into the place, as if she was ready to turn them away because “we close in 9 minutes.” (She started to sound like a broken record because this was all I heard from her mouth as another paying customer had come up before the shop was closed. As if she was denying serving them anything right before the shop closes.)

You work at a bagel shop. You get paid by the hour and the shop is only open for 6 hours. The shop closes at noon. It wasn’t busy at all and they had 4 employees working, on a Saturday.

The food would have tasted better if the service was a little better. I asked for two plain bagels, one with honey butter and another with strawberry cream cheese. They didn’t have honey butter, which I assumed was replaced with honey almond. I asked “oh well what other flavors do you have?” She aggressively points at a small menu, as if she doesn’t know how to use her words. Even if I didn’t have a nut-allergy, I would have appreciated if she had mentioned that honey almond had nuts in it. Because I was surprised it had pieces of sliced almonds in it. I thought it was just an almond flavor. I watched her plop a glop of the cream cheese onto the bagels and closed it, without even spreading it. I only asked for two plain bagels with two different schmears on it. She kept checking the bump board as if she’s not gonna get it right every two seconds that she looks down.

I also asked for a strawberry banana smoothie, in which she turned to ask if they were still serving smoothies prior to closing. The other employee says “technically yes, we’re still open.” She looks annoyed as she taps away on her POS system. I’m glad another had decided to make the smoothie instead of the one that took the order. The smoothie was made faster than she (the one who took my order) could read the bump board and make two simple bagel orders.

The service.. what service..

I probably could’ve walked back there to make it myself and the other employees probably wouldn’t have cared.

When the short tempered girl asked for my name for the order, she mocks me saying “day vid?” And makes an unseemly facial expression as if she was disgusted by my name..

It was okay but nothing more noticeable than the evident display of bad attitude by the one employee. It was awkward. It also didn’t help that the other employees were letting her go off and act like that to their paying customers.

That is, for sure, the first and last time I’ll come into that location.

The bagels are pretty good but not anything spectacular. The coffee is amazing though, and that's coming from a guy who doesn't drink coffee.

I was so excited to try Einstein Bros since I’ve heard great things about them. I ordered the chorizo sunrise egg sandwich and a twice baked hash brown. I was pressed for time so I bit into my hash brown while driving and then noticed quite a bit of hair on it. I was so disgusted! Thankfully I was at a stoplight so I spit it out. I was pretty hesitant to eat the sandwich, but I examined it thoroughly and didn’t find any hair. I reluctantly ate it because I was still disgusted, but starving. I wish I had more time so I could have gone back to show them. This was an absolutely disastrous first experience and first impression of Einstein Bros. I will not be visiting again.

My partner placed an order with this location without realizing they were close to closing (about 15 minutes before). She called and asked them if they could cancel the order and refund her because she didn’t want to hold anyone up from leaving for the day OR if there was going to be someone there to hand her the order. They told her that they would place her order outside the door. When she arrived, the order was not there as someone else had taken it. We are upset with this location because they had the option to cancel the order and refund her but instead allowed someone else to take what she paid for. Wasted money.

This is a warning to all doordash drivers to not go here.Respectfully, no doordasher wants to pick up food here. It has a reputation. There seems to be little priority for the delivery orders. Having multiple revenue streams is probably beneficial to your business, but if you begin telling delivery drivers "it’s going to be an hour wait,” then what’s the point? Customers are more likely to cancel orders at that point. I don’t know what makes more, the in store orders or the doordash deliveries, but if you want to be successful with doordash, you need to start prioritizing the delivery driver orders.
