**Had the worst matcha drink in my entire life**
So I went here and ordered the matcha drink which is $7.5(with tax)! I told them to use oatmilk and they said okay. When it was time to get my drink, I was served a green muddy looking water in a cup, not cold either. I told them that I asked for a iced oatmilk matcha, and not water. The lady on the counter took my drink, threw a little water from the top in the sink, and then put a splash of oatmilk. So I asked them, could you redo my drink with oatmilk instead of water? To which they said, matcha needs to be diluted with hot water that’s why it’s mostly water with a splash of oatmilk (yes I know matcha needs to be made with hot water, but not 250ml of hot water!! A tiny bit of water is enough to make it). For reference I’m attaching what a oatmilk matcha look like which I got last week from Gather’s Tea bar for $6.25. The difference is pretty clear. Nevertheless, I took my drink and just left as I didn’t wanna stretch it. I wish the drink was atleast good but it tasted like muddy grass water. Absolutely horrible. Never going back again and wish I didn’t tip either.

Pathetically small portions. Spent 13 dollars on a supposedly "keto" dish with no more than 20 grams of protein. Consisted of smoked salmon no better than what you could find in a grocery store, microwaved bacon and unripe avocado. They even had the aduacity to ask me for a tip before I got my order. I'm sure they knew I certainly wouldn't give one afterwards.

Some woman (maybe manager or owner?) gave us a hard time for studying here without ordering anything, even though we were studying with our friend who had ordered something. We are also frequent customers, sometimes ordering and sometimes not. She was very passive aggressive and eventually told us to pack our things and leave. Now we feel unwelcome and will not be returning. Sad to have a safe studying environment ruined for us :(
Edit: It seems the owner has a record of leaving petty and patronizing responses to negative reviews instead of admitting any fault whatsoever. Seems ridiculously childish to me but what do I know.

I’ve been going to Fuel for years, first when it started downtown, then moved to Five Points and then expanded to this location. They’ve always offered an amazing selection of coffee, snacks and food that are always worth it! Banana pancakes and french toast are the bomb! I’ve probably had everything on the menu at least once and it never disappoints! Colleen has also done a wonderful job at making Fuel a community stop for Lafayette friends and family. As long as I’m in Lafayette, I’ll always be going to Fuel for a reset on the busyness & chaos of life! ?

I have always enjoyed my time at Fuel, it has been a great place to meet and chill. However, this time when I ordered a cuppuchino, they gave me a cup of espresso with very coarse milk foam on the top. I had to use a spoon to mix the foam and the coffee, but the end result is still sad. For the price I wish I got something better. Please get better baristas in the future.
This place has really good coffee! Sweet home vibe inside and very nice workers. I will say I ordered food once, expensive and came cold, but I don’t go there for food. Fuel has really good coffee to the point that I was motivated to start trying everything on their menu. 10/10 recommend for quality drinks.

The owner is extremely rude to customers and the service is treble. I found hair in my breakfast burrito and when I complained to the owner, she dismissed it and was extremely disrespectful.There are other good options around the campus and I do not suggest this coffee shop at all.The owner is an entitled person who does not qualify to run a business.

Fuel West is an awesome place to sit and work! I don’t have many chances of doing that but when I have, I choose Fuel West. Love the coffees here, the paninis and buffalo chickpea quesadilla are great food options and they come in large portions. Definitely want to try the quiche sometime!
Vegetarian options: A lot of vegetarian options in entrees.
Kid-friendliness: There are kid chairs and the environment is calm.
