Classic Purdue café with great food and drinks but also extremely overpriced and with very slow service. Usually very busy with few seats near outlets. They charge an extra dollar for syrups and alternate milks so a very average drink will suddenly cost $8-9.

I got a plain iced latte. Loved it. My husband got the coffee. It was okay

I really love Greyhouse in town! Been to all 3 in the Lafayette area and I absolutely love this one. My favorite part is the somewhat hidden room in the side of the cafe when you walk in, it’s very cozy and when you arrive earlier you may even have it all to yourself (great for introverts or when you need to study quietly). Many of their seasonal latte and sweet crepes can be very sweet, but I like to balance out their sweet foods with a plain latte, and I would recommend all their dishes. Their savory crepes are my favorite.

When I visit my son at Purdue, I usually stop by early in the morning to get a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. And 3 out of 5 times you" ran out" of something this time it was medium roast coffee, I gave 3 stars for service because just to get a black coffee, I waited 15 minutes

For the variety of the menu and the good coffee, it's a 5-star. Comfy seating, cozy atmosphere. Good staff. A while before you get your drink.

I stopped by for a to-go coffee, waiting quietly by the counter when a barista suddenly talked to me not to eat outside food— I just standing straight with a carryout bagel. After my coffee was ready (more watery than the on campus location), he held onto it, chatting with coworkers, until another barista reminded him to hand it over. WOW!

Greyhouse is normally my go to, but not anymore after today.

Before I even ordered, I asked the cashier if it was okay to eat my non-greyhouse bagel in store, to which he replied “Yea, you should be fine”(word-for-word). Later, as I am half way through my bagel and drinking my $10 iced latte, I was informed by a different employee that I wasn’t allowed to do so and was asked to sit outside/leave. I explained to her what the cashier told me, and she said that he probably wasn’t aware of the policy. She was really sweet about it, but the whole situation left me feeling embarrassed especially since I literally asked if it was okay and was told yes. I also struggle with anxiety, so watching people stare at me as I was being talked to and as I had to pack up to leave was absolutely awful.

Idk what else to say besides educate your employees better on the policies. And just to clarify, the employees were very nice; however, this situation should have never happened in the first place.

Edit: I was just informed that many people eat outside food at greyhouse and were never asked to leave. I was trying to be polite, but now I am very angry about this double standard.
