Nice, fancy place for an affordable lunch date with my wife! Of course, since it's run by the school, it's sort of like eating someone else's lab or homework, but I didn't mind. 3 course meal at a nice sit-down place for around $15 on campus--great deal. Check the menu online before you go, and the hours are short so make sure you get there in time. Website says reservations recommended but we've never had trouble just walking in.

Nice dinning room in campus with fancy food options that change every month. Most servers are students in training.

I have always wanted to dine at this place. Suddenly I realize that the end of the semester is coming soon and i better make a reservation. My server is nice and food came promptly. For a 3-course meal it is a steal, albeit the portions of main course and soup are really small ?a fancy place to bring someone you want to impress or for special occasion!

This restaurant is run entirely by Purdue students who are studying hospitality. It is definitely an upscale restaurant, located in the Marriott building next to the café. Reservations are not needed - I've been able to get in whenever I wanted to. Food is good and service is excellent!

Nice sit down full service restaurant on Purdue's campus which is run by Hospitality students. I had s nice experience here with the restaurant. It was nice to sit down to a hot, well made full service meal on a campus full of student food choices. I had the Italian special, which was their daily special today. The pasta was well cooked, slightly on the bland side but once I salted it m, it was great. There were a lot of pieces of shrimp and plenty of fresh spinach in the bowl. The serving was a good size and also came with two mini cannoli. The cannoli was the highlight of the meal. Delicious cream, not too sweet loaded with chocolate chips and the perfect size. Service was also good, it's nice to be waited on instead of doing a cafeteria style meal. I'd recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a "better" meal at Purdue.

Excellent restaurant the food is prepared and served and the restaurant is run by the hospitality and tourism management students at Purdue. I've been to the Turkish and the Spanish lunches.

Excellent place to go for a fine dining experience at Purdue. For about $60, you can get a fancy 4 course meal for two. All the waiters and chefs are HTM students and you can tell that they really care about their work. Unlike a lot of restaurants, the staff is very attentive and consistently checks up on your table. The food was exquisite. Each meal was delicately arranged in an artful way. Also, a $10 flight of wine is offered with hand selected wines being matched with each course. A note about the atmosphere: even though the John Purdue room is located on-campus in Marriot Hall, the dining room is very upscale. Many people were seen wearing suits and other formal attire. I highly recommend you try out John Purdue room if you want an affordable fine dining experience.
