*If you rarely eat Asian cuisine you’ll be “impressed”, but if you do often you’ll see right through this place.* I’ve had the ramen, sushi, and tempura from here; the restaurant is below-average at best. The rice and seaweed in the sushi give that away instantly. I mean they don’t even bother to put the sesame seeds on! (Payless puts more effort into their sushi…) The ramen broth was bland and unseasoned, as were the ingredients in it. The tempura is two large pieces of grease and oil, then all frozen broccoli. (NOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL!) Comparing the portion sizes to what you’re paying is atrocious!!! Sadly most of the dishes taste cheap, and are lacking authenticity. There are far better options; I’d recommend Maru (simple/traditional), Sushi Don (more modern take/flavors), Strings (ramen is 10x better), or even Banh Mi (great pho, very large portions).

TLDR: great value, great quality, nice servers & environment, definitely one of my top contenders for when I’m craving sushi or ramen!Tried Katana recently in my search for a go-to sushi place. I was initially impressed by their menu. They have an assortment of sashimi, classic rolls, specialty rolls, and also ramen/hibachi/non sushi items.Most rolls will range from a few bucks for simple rolls to $9-12 for more complex specialty rolls. They are all worth it though! I appreciated that their menu was easy to read and they explained what was in all the rolls that weren’t self explanatory. My party ended up getting a California, Boston, lava, spider, cucumber, and C.C rolls. California and cucumber were good and classic. Boston was probably the best boston roll I’ve had anywhere. Lava, Spider, and C.C were all super good too! Dynamic flavors and good portions!I also got the shoyu ramen which was beautifully made. All the elements were perfectly cooked and so full of flavor. The portion looked a little small at first but I got full very fast as they don’t skimp out on the portions!Their servers were very nice and the environment was very intimate feeling. It got pretty busy while we were there but it never felt crowded.Overall, I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a sushi or ramen place and I look forward to going back to try more!

I had tonkotsu ramen midium spicy.The broth was very nice and thick with flavor. I enjoyed it very much. The pork wasn't my favorite since I like mine torch burn, but it wasn't a big deal.I enjoyed the meal very much. We also have a bunch of appetizers, rangun and rice grill sushi.It was very good.Bento box tempura was very light and flaky-just perfect.We are from Washington DC and eat at amazing Japanese restaurants often and must say Katana restaurant surprised us.We didn't expect to have such a nice meal.I would definitely recommend and go back.Thank you!Ps. Service was very good as well. We had a party of 9 and our table. The server was patient , cheerful and attentive.
My sister invited to eat at this asian restaurant. She had the Tonkotsu Ramen(creamy pork bone broth noodles). I had the Beef Undon Soup(beef, vegetable, with thick noodles), and the fried calamari rings(breaded squid with some sweet sauce on the side) as an appetizer. It was all so good! My belly feels so satisfied.
The lunch special two rolls sushi option was tasty. I have no complaints about the taste of the sushi. I did, however, have an upset stomach afterwards. Hopefully, it had nothing to do with the cleanliness/freshness of the food but I’m uncertain. The environment is a bit dingy—might be good to consider more lighting. The servers were nice though

They always have the best food. I love their spicy beef udon and salmon skin roll! They have a lot of variety of sushi, lunch, and dinner.
Best miso I've ever had, naruto rolls fell apart but that's okay, the soup is haunted it moves on its own across the table. Very very good sushi. Highly recommend checking this place out if you want sushi.
