MCL Restaurant & Bakery West Lafayette

Hate to see it closing, but I can see why. 3 people cost us over $50.00 and we didn't get a whole lot for it. Expensive.

Choices you don't get at any chains. Food quality is very good. Cost comparable to chains. A shame this location is closing. Cafeterias are worth visiting wherever they may be found.

We have gone to MCL since 1970 and the news that they are closing in a week for good made us rush over there to eat one last time for old times sake. Sadly there is validity in why they are closing. Not only are their prices ridiculous but the servings are spread thin, and the meat was tough to cut, let alone eat. The only thing good about MCL was the friendly servers. The decor is old, fading and outdated. There were only about 3 couples beside us in the entire restaurant that use to have wait lines wrapped around the building. It will be such sweet partings of all our good memories of MCL once MCL is gone for good, but it's time has come and parting will not be as melancholy as we had expected. Good bye MCL!! Your great days of yore will be missed.

Since MCL closed up YEARS ago up in South Bend, I was so excited to see that they were open in Lafayette....only to lose that joy once arriving and a note posted on the door stating they were closing their doors on January 19th. Everyone working there was very polite and made me feel at home. The food was delicious & the atmosphere was delightful. It was a wonderful experience to step back in time from when my family would enjoy our dinners and have wonderful conversations. I'm lucky enough to have enjoyed my time spent here today and MCL will always remain special to me.

Typical cafeteria style dining. Visited for a private room dinner/ wake and service was very friendly, attentive and kind. Good experience and would recommend.

I don't know if it was a bad day or what . But that was was probably one of the worst meals that I've had there. The service was okay. The only thing that was good was the dessert and the muffins.

I will be going back. The service was inviting and friendly. Food was great!

We went well after the early bird crowd and we were one of the only ones there. As such, the food was already old and warmed-over. My advice is go early with the seniors, I guess.

Today I picked fried chicken breast. It was pink ( not done ) took it back and the second piece was also uncooked

Overpriced. Salad dressing very watery. Wait staff Manuel? Was very nice and helpful.

Every once in a while we stop in for some comfort food. Desserts are top notch also!

Good selection of food can pick am and chose what you want.

Close Down! way too expensive and completely inedible.
