Town & Gown Bistro is certainly a charming local gem that I have visited several times, with each experience being as delightful as the next. The exterior is lined with flowers, which gives it a very welcoming feeling, and the interior is very quaint and comfortable. The staff seem very hardworking and considerate of their customers, always making sure to provide the best service they can. Both times I visited, I ordered the simple pancakes and bacon, which came out wonderful. The only downside is the very small parking lot, which is only a minor inconvenience easily avoided by parking next door or walking. Overall, Town & Gown Bistro is everything you could want in a local breakfast spot. I highly recommend stopping by.

Parking: Very cramped parking lot, good idea to park next door or consider walking instead.

The place is great. This time I had the biscuits and gravy and I would not suggest it. It is very sage forward. The sage is all you taste. The service is friendly and nice and great atmosphere.

We took our son out for brunch after his 1st week on campus and he identified this place as it has a decent selection of meatless options for my wife. Conveniently, the building is essentially surrounded by parking we were able to use. They have a surprisingly decent amount of seating between the main level / patio options as well as the upstairs where they seated us. Our server Natty was very pleasant and attentive, although my wife and I shared with one another later that a little more clothing might have been preferred.

My son chose the Bonne Femme Omelet ($12.75), substituting Home Fries for the toast ($2.95). It was a large plate full of food and he said that he did like it, although he would investigate more of the menu if returning. My wife selected the Tex-Mex Omelet ($12.95), also substituting Home Fries for the toast ($2.95). She let me try some of it and it was the tastiest thing I had. I ordered the Lox Hash with scrambled eggs ($13.50), just to try something different. It was a lot of food, although it was a little salty for my taste, which was probably to be expected between the smoked salmon and the capers.

While the food tasted good, we appreciated the meatless variety on the menu, and we will most likely return, it simply seems expensive for breakfast/brunch items, which is the only reason I hold back from providing a 5th star in my rating based on value.

Picture this: beautiful August Saturday morning, sitting outside at T&G Bistro in an uncrowded patio in the shade, drinking mimosas, and eating a smoked salmon omelet. ??

The food (taste wise) and atmosphere were alright, but I ordered the corned beef dish and it turned out to be a mistake. The menu says it comes with eggs and toast. When they brought it out, it had no eggs or toast. So, I asked the waitress about it and she was like “no it doesn’t come with it”. And I was like I know I’m not dumb so I pulled up the menu and next time she came around I showed her and it says it comes with eggs and toast. So she was like “ok how do you want your toast done” … and I was like what, did you mean eggs?? But I was like I don’t know normal toasted I guess? So then she comes out with a big plate of toast, no eggs. I was like alright whatever I give up, because they had already messed up/forgot two other peoples order at our table. So I ate the corned beef and then paid, oh also they charged me for the toast lol. The latte was alright.

Hands down our favorite place to go for breakfast and lunch near Purdue! Each time we go, the quality of food and fair price astounds us. They have an awesome selection of food and we love their salmon recipes. The building is cozy and ornate.

From the time we walked in the door until we left our family was made to feel at home. My family and I decided to meet half way for lunch and this was the place we agreed to meet. The chef personally came to our table unbeknownst to us with dessert for my aunt’s birthday.
We are so thankful and grateful for the kind and amazing service we received. The food was delicious!!!!!
I highly recommend this place!!

We found this restaurant doing a quick google search for cute brunch places is Lafayette. We decided to give it a try and it was worth it, everyone was very welcoming and the food was delicious. We mentioned it was my friend’s birthday and a very nice gentleman brought her a dessert platter. The place was so cozy we ended up staying there for a few hours just catching up.

Wandering Canadian food review. Town & Gown Bistro was suggested for a breakfast meeting and wow, it did not disappoint!

Kenzie, our hostess, was incredible. As I'd never been there, I asked to be surprised and she did not disappoint. Amazing food choice and drink coffee. Made the meeting much more enjoyable. I hope Town & Gown recognize her for her hard work and dedication to making the clients experience awesome.

Thank you so much!
