Overall, the food doesn’t disappoint. The servers are usually super friendly. The owner was not. She was very rude, and that speaks poorly on her business. Other than that, I was pleasantly surprised.
CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN HELL YEAH!!! The sausage gravy will really bone up your sausage 😋 👌 😍. The outer breaded crust on the chicken was so crisp and flavorful but magically did not dry out the inside of the chicken. The cook needs a raise!!! I ordered my eggs over medium and it was on point with my potatoes. The egg was strong enough to hold its own and not have that gross slime an under cooked egg would have yet still got the runny yoke most of us love to coat those...
We come here for breakfast pretty often. The weekday morning crew is the A-team, but the weekends are generally good too, and the prices are extremely reasonable. We shared blueberry pancakes, eggs, and fried potatoes. The potatoes and pancakes are outstanding. Fantastic coffee. The place is almost always busy, and there are always regulars at the bar top enjoying the daily special and chatting. There’s quite a few vegetarian options, but I highly doubt much is vegan.
