Extremely Disappointing and Uncomfortable Experience

This was my first time dining here, and it will definitely be my last. I came with my family two adults, a toddler, and a baby and was shocked when the server automatically added a 20% gratuity to our bill. When I asked why, she said it was because “Latinos have a reputation for not tipping.” That statement was not only completely unprofessional but blatantly racist and offensive.

The food didn’t make up for the experience either. The ceviche was bland and had no flavor, and the salad was full of huge chunks of onion and green peppers. On top of that, the staff on duty kept giving us dirty looks, which made us feel very uncomfortable throughout the meal.

Despite everything, we still left a tip of more than 20% but this kind of treatment is unacceptable. No one should ever be judged or discriminated against based on their ethnicity.

Terrible experience. We were given chips and salsa, but the chips were super greasy and unappetizing. No one came to take our drink order or check if we were ready to order at all. I looked over and saw the servers just standing around talking to each other instead of helping customers. We ended up walking out. Definitely won’t be coming back.

I recently went through lunch with the mowing crew I was helping, definitely not impressed, asked several times for a lemonade, never got it but found out afterwards that I was charged for it but I somehow completely missed that, the queso tasted strange, my fajita was SUPER smoky and the very hot to the point I had physically move my food around so it wouldn’t burn on the plate, I MAY consider giving it a second chance but definitely not for a while, everything else was great, I love the fountain in the middle, that was cool, the waiter was nice though, I’ll give him some credit, but my co-workers and I were not impressed with the quality and service though, there are a lot of Mexican restaurants out there, they definitely need to step up their game

Spent nearly $70 on three meals with no drinks hoping the food would be good and I was very disappointed. For starters, the price is outrageous compared to the quality of the food, also we ordered carry out and they didn’t even give us napkins or forks luckily I had my own fork. We ordered hot sauce and we got tomato sauce and probably the worst of all was that we ordered shrimp meals and the shrimp had absolutely no flavor. I normally love shrimp and this one was so tasteless that I finished almost everything except the shrimp. I do not recommend this place whatsoever and I for sure will never return.

I was charged $39.21 for two house margaritas and queso. To make matters worse, the serving staff proceeded to make fun of me. They sat at a table next to me and caused emotional harm. Little did they know, I speak Spanish. Hostile environment. Food is disgusting, too. Avoid.

I live in Arizona, and this is the third Mexican food restaurant I went to in Indiana. The first 2 restaurants were pretty good chains. The food at Cabo’s was very bad representation of Mexican food or any kind of restaurant food. The chips were good. The sauce was less than mild tomato sauce. The beans would’ve been better straight out of the can, but these were so watered down that they made an 8th inch high lake on my plate and they were barely warm, about 85°F. The Chile Relleno was cooked with Jack cheese inside, but the egg covering was barely an 8 inch thick. Uncharacteristically it was covered with enchilada sauce, and no cheese or other treatment. It was the poorest example of a chili Relleno I had ever witnessed. The enchilada sauce that covered the two enchiladas was strange shade of red, kinda like a chipotle sauce. Seem to have a little sweetness in there. The shredded chicken and shredded beef and enchiladas had some spice with the meat, but it was hardly apparent and there was zero cheese inside or on top. The food was an insult to the people of Mexico and the Hispanics in America, for the food, as my wife put it, ‘was gross’ . The service was good and the dining room was a nice environment. The dining room was 80% full, but I don’t know how.

I ordered food for pickup, the charro beans had a cockroach, I called the restaurant to explain my unpleasant experience and the manager refused to apologize and was very spoiled. The worst place in hygiene I have ever experienced. ??

Today was our first and last time ordering from this place. First of all the lady that took my husbands order was extremely rude and unprofessional. We then noticed that the food was extremely cold and the portions were ridiculous. My husband called the restaurant and ask to speak to a manager and the same lady ( Anaima ) that took the order answered the phone and was even ruder over the phone, she told my husband she was the manager and refused to help us. Also the same lady dropped a bag of chips and gave the same bag to a customer.

Needless to say, never going back!

High prices, they take a lot of tips, sorry but we are Latinos too and we come to work, we have a budget to be able to spend one lunch a day. It's fair to pay a rounded price for a lunch. It is my opinion.

Went for lunch on a weekday. It's an okay place. Their interior is a typical Mexican restaurant. The chips were cold, the salsa was downright spoiled. The Chimichanga was ok and the arroz conpollo was stale. The margarita was ok. Service ok.

The made to order guacamole fresca here is the best guac we've had in a restaurant. Most mexican restaurants put too many onions in it and ruin it, but at Cabos, you can order it with no onions and it's awesome. The Texas Margarita is also awesome, the food is good. Try the taquitos!
