“Ben's is the best BBQ! My previous favorite is Oklahoma Joe's/Joe's in Kansas City.Similar origin stories. It starts with the smoker. Oklahoma Joe built his own and so does Ben. I was invited into the inner sanctum of the smoke house to see the "Red October" offset. All of the BBQ is smoked with local Indiana cherry.Ben's is located in an old used car lot in old downtown Westfield where parking can be very dear. Prime spots are located back by the picnic tables. If you don't preorder and walk up you will need to be there at noon if you want BBQ before sell out.I did a walk up visit on Saturday Apr 6 for brisket and pulled pork and returned Apr 7 Sunday for ribs, pork belly and turkey. The ribs are spare vs baby back so plenty of meat and finished with a rub. All meats are fork tender. My preference for pulled pork is Carolina style referred to as just BBQ in the Carolinas. Served family style in a bowl with finishing sauce choices of mustard or apple cider vinegar available if desired. Ben's serves his pulled pork chopped and lightly sauced, all good but not my preference. Ben would most likely indulge Carolina BBQ presentation if requested.Ben's is a BBQ shack but has picnic tables out back if you wish to eat while there. If you don't visit Ben's BBQ Shack you don't know what you missing and if you wait until next weekend you will only be a week older when you do.Parking: Parking in old downtown Westfield is dear.Arrived early at Ben's and park back by the picnic tables”
“Interesting wrap-around the bar dining area. Amazing cheese curds appetizer. Extensive menu. Farm fresh green beans and asparagus. Great short ribs and meatloaf. Perfect high-end bar alcohol. Outstanding server in Adrianna who hooked up our two birthday guests with complimentary brownie sundae and caramel pecan bread pudding. Wonderful evening!”
“Four of us dined at Nyla's last night and it was fantastic! The wedge salads were very tasty as was the Mushroom Cream Soup (both came with the meal). The two of us that ordered the Chicken Milanese said it was delicious! Another in our party ordered the Bone-In Pork Chop and declared it to be fabulous! (the presentation was beautiful) I had the Sea Bass and it melted in my mouth...so delicious! The cauliflower risotto that came with the dish was such a nice surprise and a wonderful accompaniment to the Sea Bass. Outstanding food, outstanding service and outstanding atmosphere...they have it all!”
“Ordered a custom pizza and it probably was some of the best I’ve had in town. Try the cheese sticks too! Never thought something so simple could taste so good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“One of our favorite delivery options ~ but they also have a great dine in bar area. Highly recommend food from there ~ it’s quite fresh with good vegetables (not the typically canned type) lemongrass, they can add spice or back off as needed. Love the food here.”
“The restaurant is an odd place…it’s an Asian bbq fusion restaurant and it’s pirate themed inside lol. I’m not sure what kind of vibe this restaurant is going for… This is something I can overlook if the food is good, and since the food was excellent, I overlooked this oddity!I got “the amendment” which is a bed of rice topped with veggies, beef brisket and teriyaki sauce. It was delicious! All of the employees were nice, which made for a great dining experience!”
“We enjoy the details of many of the dishes. The ingredients are sometimes surprising and that’s the best thing about many dishes on the menu. Sure you can make salmon and cauliflower at home, but probably not like Field Brewing makes salmon and cauliflower. Their recipes and dishes are just always a delight to us. If you’re gluten free, they take their gluten free preparation very seriously. Enjoy!”
“The sushi is outstanding. I eat sushi once a week and Chiba is now my new goto place for serval reasons. The bar area is in a separate building with a quaint seating area and a great vibe. The owner Keith is very involved with running the business and doing whatever is necessary from making drinks, taking orders and running plates. Keith is very personable and makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. I highly recommend Chiba and don't miss the spicy tuna and spicy Salmon. Keith makes a mean Sazerac too. I will definitely be back!”
“Food was good, service was polite and helpful, one star off because of bathroom being pretty bad but we informed employees and they were quick to have someone go to clean it”
“I went here today. I ordered picked up right before they closed. They were very nice to me and all the food tasted great. They were cleaning when I came in and stopped to acknowledge me which i really appreciated it. They even told me to sit down and they walked the order over to me. They even included utensils without me asking. I would definitely go here again. I had pad Thai, thai salad roll, a spring roll, and thai dumplings.”
“My husband and I went on 2/4/24 and out server Kevin was OUTSTANDING!! Great customer service is not rewarded enough and it can be hard to come by. He was attentive, knowledgeable, professional and prompt. I appreciate how amazing he was and I hope my tip showed it! I hope to get Kevin every time :)”
“Was very crowded, standing room only when I walked in at noon so I came back around 1:45 when the lunch crown left and it was empty like I like it. The tacos came out quickly! Wish it was more hot but they were still good.”
“You can bring your own food! The staff is awesome! Great place to hangout, listen to a band and enjoy an excellent old fashion. Love the rye! Knees don't work but the hips still do!!”
“What a pleasant surprise. This place is tucked away off Main Street in an old rustic style bank building. Being more of a cocktail guy, I have to say this was a hands on lesson in “Pairing of wines!” I learned that certain wines go good with sweet creamy desserts (cheesecake) and others go remarkably good with chocolates! ?. Just sayin. If you’re a connoisseur, then just know all their wines are imported from around the world. (NO LOCAL WINES) So stop by and say hi! Shout out to AMANDA! ??”
“We were so excited to make our first visit to this gem. It was highly recommended by friends and has so many stellar reviews Being first time callers, our choice was to eat in the bar. Sean the bartender was super busy,as this restaurant was packed, took great care of us. The patrons in the bar provided some killer recommended choices and we took advantage of them. First choice was the fried ravioli. Excellent n could only eat 2 of the 4. We split the beet salad. Perfect choice. Next was the chicken piccata for my baby's birthday n she loved it! I had the lasagna w the vodka sauce( you can choose your own). Spot on!!! Negroni n Chianti were delicious n service was great! Will be back for sure!!!”
