“Big Hoffa’s is consistently good bbq and the staff there are some of the friendliest in the restaurant scene in the greater Indianapolis area. I just tried their smashburger this week for the first time, and it knocked us off our feet. The beef itself was tasty, the onions and pickles compliment each other well, and THAT SAUCE was smashtabulous! Keep goin’, you have the magic touch! Josh is amazing!“

From calling in via phone Gretta was fantastic, warm, and friendly (which seems to be a list skill set for many)Then our server Emily did a wonderful job of taking our order and servicing us. “Get the ribs and then buy the rub to take home... perfection. The brisket was an amazing marriage of lean and marbled. Just melts in your mouth but actual meat and not all gristle. The pulled pork was excellent. The fries were amazing. The homemade potato chips were good. The mac and cheese was okay, creamy and cheesy. The potato salad was OK, had dill and I'm not a huge fan of dill. But if you are you will like it. The service was great. The lady at the register was friendly outgoing and just overall pleasant human. I wish this place was closer to home it would be a regular spot for us. Each meat had its own unique smoked flavor which is not typical of bbq places and was really nice. Do yourself a favor and get the sauce on the side. The smoked meat is flavorful enough and you won't need it, except to use as a dip for your fries.“

“Great place! Some of the juiciest pulled pork that I’ve ever had. Sweet tea, cornbread, and delicious cake! I would not recommend the brisket however, way too dry.

Also the inside dining room is awesome - lots of old artifacts and antiques make this place a must visit. I’d drive a good distance to come back!“

“A must have is the outlaw gringo taco - the carne asada chunks were super flavorful and the most tender hunk of beef in a taco I have ever had and I have had a gazillion tacos being from California and having homemade tacos authentica from our amigas. This place is fire ?“

“Took a nice date there on a Wednesday afternoon. She was unsure what kind of steak to get and the waitress was fairly knowledgeable on cuts. She got a medium well ribeye (I'm sorry) with asparagus baked potato and a ? marg. I got lemon grilled chicken with the cob corn and a baked potato. We also shared the fried shrimp
The fried shrimp took a strangely long time to come out but by the time I noticed, the manager was bringing it out to me and letting me know that she was comping it for me due to the wait. Before I even had the chance to ask about it. I appreciate the commitment to excellence on that front.
All the food was excellent and my date was raving about the quality of her drink the entire time.

The manager Heart (her actual name) was so generous she even came out and helped me jumpstart my car after I left the lights on by accident during our meal. It's clear she really cares and wants to do right by everyone that steps in the building. Will absolutely return if possible“

“Last night was my first time, we were 2 people, the food was awesome but the service was bad! and we had our food remaining in boxes and went to wash our hands before leaving, we found our food thrown away and nothing was done about it!“

“Tonight we had dinner for my husbands birthday. Our waitress, Brandi, was incredible. Extremely efficient, friendly, and funny. She refilled drinks without being asked. Wasn’t intrusive but always there if we needed anything. Just an extremely kind, fun person. She made our evening!!!“

“This is my second time eating here. I enjoy their big portions. Personally, I would split a meal with someone else since I can’t ever finish it all by myself. Last time I ordered the hot stone bibimbap and split it with my husband. We both enjoyed it a lot and were pretty full.

This time I ordered the Soon Tofu Ramen with Kimchi and my friend ordered the Vegetable Soon Tofu Soup. We ordered the hottest spice and it was pretty good and super filling. My friend is vegan so it’s nice that there are options for her to choose from. The side dishes aren’t my favorite. The kimchi isn’t very fermented, the beans sprouts didn’t really have any taste to them, and the other side dish was over seasoned in the sauce.

But the overall food was good. I enjoy coming here and indulging in some Korean food. It’s comforting.“

“Shrimp stacked trout is a fresh change from most other restaurants. The bier battered cod was great... not a heavy batter... crisp the way it should be. Desserts were good albeit the apple blueberry cobbler kinda blended; however, the flavor was still great. The chocolate brownie ala mode was presented perfectly and tasted just as good as it looked.
