Place is legit with some perfectly smoked meats, delicious variety of sauces, and some great customer service. Got the opportunity to chat with CJ and her husband, the two owners. Two great people with a great backstory, full of dedication and grind. Highly recommend the pulled pork, rib tips, and brisket. I hope one of you two see this, I genuinely had a great time and experience today. You two should be super proud.“

“This place was a 10/10 all around. The vibes were great as soon as we walked in. The staff was super friendly. This was our first time here as out of towners and they were super polite to help us with what we needed. Most responses were followed with “yes ma’am”. The food….oh my!! Hands down the best pulled pork sandwich I’ve had in a long time. My husband tried multiple sauces for his meal and he said every sauce was great in its own way. Even my extremely picky children cleaned their plates. We had 4 meals all with drinks and fries and an order of fried pickles and only spent $55. We sat outside for our meal and it was very peaceful. I was texting family members before we had even left to recommend finding time to come here. We will most definitely be back next time we come to Indy!!“

“We tried @halfliter_bbq in #Indianapolis, and this is what we rated them. A couple of things first. It was their Octoberfest, so they were very busy. Even with that, the food was out in 6 minutes! Brisket 8.5. Bark was very good, and the meat fell apart. Pork 7.8. Smoked well, was just dry Chicken Breast 8.8 Best thing we tried here for sure. Smoked wings 6.5. Very good flavor, but it was super dry Turkey. 7.9. Thick and smoked well, just a little to dry for us Sausage 8.0. Good flavor with a little heat Also, the pickled onions were outstanding. They even give me example to try while waiting. It melted in my mouth and the hank sauce complimented so well.“

“I tried the burger at Big Walt's Wings & More and it was seriously one of the best I’ve had in a while. The patty was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The bun was fresh and held everything together perfectly without getting soggy.

You can tell it’s made fresh, not just thrown together. Every bite had great flavor, and the portion size was solid for the price. Definitely not your average fast-food burger.

“We held our October 2022 wedding ceremony and reception at Liter House and loved the experience! Drew and the whole event staff were helpful, kind, and easy to work with. We loved our brunch reception with delicious breakfast food and classic Sahm’s coffee cake. The event space is warm, inviting, and the right size to host lots of different types of weddings or gatherings. Also, the location is perfect - the Monon trail is a gorgeous place for pictures and features a lot of cool artwork/murals. I definitely recommend checking out Liter House for your event!“

“I’ve been here a few times and the food doesn’t disappoint. I did have a disappointing experience today with our bill however. There was an extra meal charged on our bill which I brought to our servers attention. When she returned, I found that instead of voiding and printing a corrected bill, she ran a credit charge for the overage. This meant I had to pay the higher incorrect charge and wait (from what I understand) a couple 3-4 days for the credit to return to my card. I don’t feel it appropriate that the customer pay for the billing error then have to wait for a refund. I did let them know I wasn’t happy about it. I will be watching that I do receive this credit. It also put a bad taste in my mouth about returning anytime soon.“

The ribs are tender and swimming in a sauce so good it can only be handmade. The sides leave nothing to want for and the staff is just as sweet as the sweet potato pie. Hands down the best place for ribs in the state, they must animals volunteering to lay on that smoker because they know a pit master when they see one! 10/10“

“Tonight we had dinner for my husbands birthday. Our waitress, Brandi, was incredible. Extremely efficient, friendly, and funny. She refilled drinks without being asked. Wasn’t intrusive but always there if we needed anything. Just an extremely kind, fun person. She made our evening!!!“

“Went there for lunch and offered two small rib tip dinners. One spicy one mild and sizes were green bean and Mac n cheese/ potato salad and baked beans. Oh and a slice of chess pie. The rib tips were plentiful and nice size. The sauce was spicy but not overly. Mac and cheese was creamier than cheesy. I liked it my girl said it tasted like stovetop. The green beans were alright could have had a lil bit more seasoning tho. Baked beans were out the can with some brown sugar. The chess pie was good but I'm used to sweeter versions. All in all 40 bucks spent well.“
