The lovely barista was so lovely to chat with, and the mocha was beyond belief! The perfect blend of chocolate and coffee, without being super sweet. And the prices are very reasonable, compared to many of the local shops around downtown. Do yourself a favor, go to the library, grab yourself a book, and try their coffee! They also have a seating area, so you can enjoy a nice, quiet moment to yourself, should you like. Next time I'll get some food as well, and will report back on that. Favorites were the beet hummus and pistachio goat cheese- plus all the fruit and veggies were fresh and delicious. This was a great value for money, we easily fed 6 people on the picnic size. The ease of payment, ordering and the flexibility on the menu we very helpful for one of my events. We loved our brunch reception with delicious breakfast food and classic Sahm’s coffee cake. The event space is warm, inviting, and the right size to host lots of different types of weddings or gatherings. Also, the location is perfect - the Monon trail is a gorgeous place for pictures and features a lot of cool artwork/murals. I definitely recommend checking out Liter House for your event!“

Google's showing this place as a coffee shop (they do have a cafe open weekdays 8-5), however it's a full-on restaurant (open weekdays 11-2).It was hard to find with Google's directions, so here's how to get there: It's inside the OneAmerica Tower. The door to the Tower is to the left of the Dayton H Molendorp Parking Garage (120 W New York St, just a bit after the New York - Illinois intersection). Once you go through the revolving door, take the first right. The restaurant's right there.To order, you just step up to a counter, place your order, and pay. You can sit down at a table (you can dine in or take out), and they'll call your name when your food's done. But don't be mistaken, it's not fast food--everything's made fresh, so don't expect your food to be out in under a minute.Both times I've visited, I ordered a burger, onion rings, and a Mountain Dew. I'd say it takes about 4-6 minutes to get your food, but for $15 and the quality, you definitely are getting more than you're paying for. The burger is juicy and well-seasoned, and the onion rings were made with real onion. The food's all served in a to-go box, so you can choose to dine in or take out. With the number of onion rings you get with your meal, you'll definitely be able to take leftovers home!On the second time I came back, the same cashier remembered me by name. They were very enthusiastic, welcoming me back and emphasizing how everything's made fresh. That wasn't just to me, however. Lunch Buffet Friday to Sunday, a very large selection of delicious food served with a choice of fresh bread, either plain or garlic.
