“Interesting spot as there are 3 different separate businesses houses in the same space. One spot upstairs, Nami on the ground floor in the front and a restaurant on the ground floor in the back.

Stopped one afternoon for a treat and we ordered a variety of drinks and a couple crepes. All the drinks looked and tasted very good, not too sweet. We ordered the strawberry matcha, einspiner hojicha, peachy citron, and the banana creme matcha. The sweet Japanese style crepes were light and also very delicious. Staff was tentative and helpful while we were deciding what to order.

“I took my significant other to dinner here for her birthday, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent, and the service was very timely. Everything was priced at something that I would describe as “student friendly.” We both got up so I could show my partner where the restroom was. While we were gone, someone cleaned our table and took her drink that we purchased that was still about half full. However, our waitress quickly offered to make things right and she took that drink off the bill for us and gave us a discount on the entire experience for the trouble. 5/5 I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.“

“I visited Veranda for the first time last night and it was wonderful! I went with friends to play mahjong and have food. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They allowed us to hang out and play our game while we ate. The environment is very relaxing. Our sever Ahmed was fantastic, very friendly. The Chef came out to check on us and tell about the dishes we ordered. Every item we ordered was perfect, I can't wait to try more from their menu. We are already planning to go back next week! 10/10 recommend!“

“Perfect venue for our daughter's Baby Shower. They have a beautiful upstairs private area for events. Our family and guests were well accommodated. Their dining and catering menu were surprisingly great also delicious! Outstanding service and we highly recommend you consider 'Just Pop In!' Hidden gem in Broad Ripple right by the Monon.“

“I think they normally only handle larger orders, but I was able to order 6 meat pies (I was just orderingfor me and not an event). They were delicious and a great price (1 and a half filled me up). I lived in Nigeria as a teenager and these reminded me of the meat pies we would get there. They are not very spicy, but they were spiced well. They have carrots, potatoes, onions, and ground beef.

Just a heads up, I guess this is primarily a catering business. I was a little thrown off when I went to go pick up my order and just ended up at someone's house and not a restaurant. Still, the food was really yummy and I look forward to getting more pies in the future and to trying their suya (something I also enjoyed in Nigeria).“

“I didn't come here with much expectations, but the food was really good. Excellent chicken salad sandwich - the dried apricots and almond were great additions to flavor and texture. The minestrone and the chilli cornbread complemented each other very well. Samiyah the server was very friendly and cleaned my table promptly for me. No wonder the place was packed when I came.“

“The return of the soup and sandwich! I LOVE this spot for breakfast and lunch sandwiches. The staff and owner are very nice, and the syrup choice for coffees are good. I love going in to look at books, and play cards. The natural light from all the windows is awesome; bike racks right outside are convenient. Staffing seems sparse so coming in with a little patience is good. I hope this cafe is the permanent replacement for the Thirsty Scholar.“

“Great place for lunch. The owners were welcoming and I could tell they take great pride in serving others and making them feel at home. The gentleman thanked me for my service (Air Force t-shirt) and the lady was very sweet. I ordered the fish sandwich with onions and tomatoes and a side of fries with blue Kool-Aid. Loved it. There is a good variety of homemade pastries on display at the front counter which includes cookies, peach cobbler, and cupcakes. There were a few people who came in after me and one was apparently a regular, who was greeted by name, and the other was a new customer and they both were glad to be at the right place at the right time. I also ordered the Valentine-themed strawberry shortcake cupcake as well as the turtle (chocolate and caramel) cupcake and pleasantly enjoyed both, particularly the turtle. Also, the oldies R & B songs playing were a very nice touch. I will definitely visit again when I am in Indianapolis. The product doesn't make the business, the people do and there are some great people at this establishment, both employees and customers. Highly recommend. P.S. I saw a flyer for a gentleman named KissGang Relly with his album "A Way With Words" which gave me some great music to listen to on the drive home. ;O)“

“My family and I LOVE Uptown Cafe. We’ve never had a bad experience.. great food, friendly/hard-working staff, and cool atmosphere. I always get the breakfast burrito with chorizo and avocado for my two added ingredients plus the hash browns as my side. Their hash browns are the best! “We biked here on Memorial Day from downtown Indy. I had hoped that there would still be a piece of the Mandarin cheesecake by Brotgarten left.
I was thoroughly disappointed when I found out that they had sold out earlier that morning. I talked with the owner for a few minutes about how we were from Detroit and only in town for the weekend.
As we were unlocking our bikes to continue on, the owner came out and gave us his piece of the cheesecake that he was going to take home.
What a wonderful thing to do!!! Thank you so much for your kindness. It was the best cheesecake I've ever had!“

“Called in to get help with an issue with our commercial coffee maker and based on the description, a tech called us back and recommended a way for us to solve the problem on our own without paying for their service fee.
