“Stopped by Tinker Coffee and loved the vibe! super cool, relaxed, and easy to hang out in. Parking was free and easy, which is always a win. “What a find! Visited the restaurant today with a group (12 of us). We did pre-order our appetizers and entrees.
The venue was lovely. Great views from the penthouse of downtown. Formal table settings. We each had our own place card (since we pre-ordered. I don't know if that is required). Tamika our table host did a nice job welcoming our party and providing beverages. I rated the service a 4 just because there was a longer wait for food service to start and then between courses. But ... we enjoyed the chance to take more time than usual !
And the food was out of this world. I would highly recommend! And we can't wait to return.“

“I didn't come here with much expectations, but the food was really good. Excellent chicken salad sandwich - the dried apricots and almond were great additions to flavor and texture. The minestrone and the chilli cornbread complemented each other very well. Samiyah the server was very friendly and cleaned my table promptly for me. No wonder the place was packed when I came.“

It was not the lukewarm prepared-in-advance food at some restaurants that just made a quick stop at the microwave. “Great place for lunch. The owners were welcoming and I could tell they take great pride in serving others and making them feel at home. The gentleman thanked me for my service (Air Force t-shirt) and the lady was very sweet. I ordered the fish sandwich with onions and tomatoes and a side of fries with blue Kool-Aid. Loved it. There is a good variety of homemade pastries on display at the front counter which includes cookies, peach cobbler, and cupcakes. There were a few people who came in after me and one was apparently a regular, who was greeted by name, and the other was a new customer and they both were glad to be at the right place at the right time. I also ordered the Valentine-themed strawberry shortcake cupcake as well as the turtle (chocolate and caramel) cupcake and pleasantly enjoyed both, particularly the turtle. Also, the oldies R & B songs playing were a very nice touch. I will definitely visit again when I am in Indianapolis. The product doesn't make the business, the people do and there are some great people at this establishment, both employees and customers. Highly recommend. P.S. I saw a flyer for a gentleman named KissGang Relly with his album "A Way With Words" which gave me some great music to listen to on the drive home. ;O)“

“Side Wok is our go-to spot for takeout! Their food is always fresh, super hot, and absolutely delicious. The crab rangoons are some of the best around. Perfectly crispy and PACKED with flavor. We also love their pork egg rolls and General Tso’s chicken. We get it at least once every other week, and it never disappoints. They are takeout only, so the inside may be ugly, but DAMN the food is fire. Highly recommend! 😋“

“We stopped in for lunch after exploring The State Museum for about an hour and were not disappointed. I was torn between ordering the Sweet Cheery Walnut Chicken Sandwich and the Huntington, but being a native born Hoosier I picked the Huntington and was not disappointed. The pork tenderloin was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. So good!!!!! We also had the Club and Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese, which were also very good.“

“While staying at a nearby Airbnb, it was recommended to try out the Neidhammer coffee shop. We went over one morning and were pleasantly surprised. There was a lot of seating and the tables were all wired for electricity. There was a constant stream of customers, some taking it to go and others staying. We tried the sweet crepes and they were delicious. They hand made the crepes right in front of you. I had the Highland which was bananas and nutellla or berries – I had Nutella. It was the smaller size but plenty. My daughter had the Spades Park which had cheesecake filling and Nutella. Both were delicious. We also had a drip coffee and Nutella latte and both were awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area or maybe you need to make a trip to the area!“

“The day before my dad’s funeral, I went to the mall to buy a pair of black pants. There’s often something cathartic for me about the anonymity of the mall, of being surrounded by people all set on their own missions, none of whom are concerned about who you are or what you’re there for. Yet, I cried my way through that shopping trip, lonely and unmoored, trying to imagine a world without my dad. And then I stumbled into the Cafe.

I’d been once or twice before. I found myself at Keystone often in the months prior because my hairstylist was located in the salon suites across the way. She remembered my order. She called it out the second I walked through the door, and met me at my table with a goat cheese panini and a carafe of Coke because she knew I’d want a refill. She spoke gently, familiarly, aware of my tenderness in a way that reminded me I wasn’t alone.

In that moment, I wasn’t invisible. My grief was shared. Maybe she’ll read this one day and know how much it meant to me. Maybe she won’t. But I guess what I’m saying is: Some people have their neighborhood pub or the quirky coffeeshop around the corner from their job. I have the Nordstrom Cafe. And there’s something kind of beautiful about that.“
