“Great coffee! Very smooth and flavorful without being bitter. We stopped by before ISSMA at North Central on Saturday. Appreciated you serving us a little early so we weren’t late to our volunteer shifts. And our young servers were exceptional. My daughter is now a huge fan of your coffee house. I’m sure you will see her frequently.“
“Today was my husband and my first time at Tams and it exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious and the staff was so warm and welcoming. & the salted caramel brownie was easily the best brownie we’ve ever had!! 11/10 would recommend“
“I recently visited Nine Lives Cat Café with my daughter and her family. Adults were enjoying coffee in cat mugs, while children had colorful smoothies. Kittens and cats were mingling, playing, or napping in the various cat cubbies. I returned a few days later, had a delicious iced white mocha and Jojo, a 3 year old tortie, picked me. She had made her way from an overcrowded shelter, to a different shelter, to the Café, and is now in her furever home. Highly recommend the Café if you're in the mood for a hot beverage, a smoothie, yummy pastries, etc. and/or adorable felines. The cat paintings and gifts were impressive! A good place to shop for any cat lovers in your life. The staff was absolutely wonderful! This place is a treasure.“
“This is our new favorite coffee spot in all of Indy! The coffee is seriously a level above all the rest. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. And the environment of the coffee shop is comfortable and beautiful. This is such a great addition to Garfield Park and all of Indianapolis! Plus, they do live music on Sundays, and various other events like food trucks in the parking lot. And it's both kid-friendly and dog-friendly. This place is a MUST visit!“
“I absolutely loved this place! They have a great outdoor patio! They have a full coffee bar ! It sucks that Starbucks doesn’t have a vegan PSL. But do you know who does? Soulshine Cafe!!! With vegan whipped cream!!! The food was hearty and filling even though the portions seemed small. I got a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit. I thought the egg was a little tough to eat but the sausage and biscuit was sooo good I didn’t even mind. I got a side of gravy to dip everything into ! I also got a side of their loaded Mac and to be completely honest I kept getting anxious because none of it tasted like it was vegan ! The wait times for food can be a little long but I found out today it was one of their busiest days ever!!! Broad Ripple isn’t super close to me but I hope I can come back more often !!! Thankful for Soulshine for being here for the vegan community and for serving great food!“
“Excellent breakfast and bottomless coffee, self-serve. Eggs cooked perfectly (over easy), bacon crispy and cooked well done. Service was ok, but a bit slow considering there were several open tables. A bit on the pricey side. Ordered 2 eggs, cheddar cheese, avocado, on sour dough toast, bacon, and coffee $28 before tip.“
“So many dazzling Chai options in this understated cafe! I tried the ginger chai, and it was piping hot and delicious. I couldn't pass up the homemade samosa, which came with 2 sauces; flavorful and filling. Cannot wait to come back and try the other chai drinks they have!“
“I have had a lot of items on their menu. Their Benedict’s are amazing and they are known for their scrambles as well. You really can’t go wrong with anything here as it depends on your mood and taste. Their sandwiches and salads are great too! And if you haven’t tried a LEFSE, you are missing out! I always have my go to eggs and bacon comfort plate, and let me just say, you will never leave hungry.“
“Here's a place in my opinion you should NOT pass by when looking for mom and pop style restaurants. Just off of interstate 464 exit #47 in Indianapolis. Food is awesome and pricing follow the same path. Hard to find places now where people still smile. Loved it. If I'm ever back in this area rest assure I'll be coming here again.“
“I didn’t order food just coffee, but let me tell you the coffee was amazing! The atmosphere was so nice. I met some gal pals here and we found a nice corner spot and chatted for over 2 hours. The staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs either a quiet place to work or a few friends who want a great spot to catch up.“
“I like the overall vibe of Lulus. I was greeted with a compliment on my attire and treated like an old friend. Awesome people working there. The coffee is on par with the vibe. Really good vanilla latte. I live 45 minutes away. I’ll pass by several coffee shops on my way to return here. Cool place.“
“Best tea shop in Indy (Nap). Where else can you get a scrumptious pesto breakfast sandwich on croissant ? for about 10 bucks!? ??? Always lifts my spirits & my wellness! ☺️ ? S/o to Tamika + her whole family! Teryna - you are a Star ?Affordable rent space annnnddd! Catering? Yes, please. ??? ? It's been a pleasure to watch the tea shop expand since walking in their doors nearly a decade ago!Keep Smilin, Keep Shinin! ✨ ?? “It's like I don't want to leave a review because I want this place to be my little secret, but also this place is amazing and I want them to be SO successful that they open 10k locations. Almost everything is made from scratch - The ketchup, the hot sauce, the creamer, etc. I've only been there twice - The first time I ordered the breakfast burrito and the second time I got an omelet. They have the BEST hashbrowns in town and for the price I could eat here every day without going completely broke. Don't let the location or strip mall deceive you - This cafe is one of the best in town! Scratch that....it IS the best cafe in town! Go here, eat well, leave happy :)“
“Great vibe, family oriented, was greeted immediately, had a couple of gals ask if I'd like something to drink as soon as I sat down. I got the classic bacon n eggs, w/hash browns, sourdough toast tasted homemade! Bacon was thick & crispy.... Since I couldn't make up my mind I also got their classic French toast to go for dinner! Highly recommend this quaint diner.“
“Every time I come into Cleo's bodega and Café, I have a time! Between the customer service, the energy, the culture, the artwork on the walls it's all just amazing! Also, the food is really good, seasoned well in the smoothies are Yum. Yum! The manager D is doing some great things in the community, and I love the live music that comes out on Fridays for lunchtime! This is the perfect place to come and work and listen to some music because if the live music is not happening, they have the radio on and the songs are perfect! I would write this five stars if the building was a little warmer, but other than that, it's a happy place to be!Pros Energy Culture Dee Food Smoothies Cons Cold- bring a jacket“
“The Haverstick is a great place to meet up and work. There are a handful of rooms that you can reserve if you need a private space, but if not there is lots of seating and tables around the common area to use. It's also right off the interstate, so easy to get to.“
“One of the coolest coffeehouses I've visited here in Indianapolis! Family run, down to earth, MAGNIFICENT coffee drinks (with an OLD SCHOOL espresso machine), and made from scratch croissants & pastries. Nestled in the entrance of the Central State Apartments - it reminds me of the Edgewater/Uptown* neighborhood buildings from my glory days. I love these guys.*Chicago's North Side; I'm a Chitown native, although I've lived here in Indy since 2001.“
“Recently ordered a few dozen of their silver dollar sandwiches for an open house and I can't thank the staff at Illinois St enough for swooping in quick and getting us ready right on time. The sandwiches are too cute and delicious. Packed nice and neat to present. Easily my go to when I need to feed a small crowd quick!Don't miss the pastry counter, bete noir, and their breakfast/lunches are great grab and go!“
“Adding to the list of 5-star reviews here... It's a hidden gem of a restaurant that has a hometown feel and lots of creative spirit. I had a gooey grilled cheese sandwich, creole soup and a lavender-sugar crepe. They were all soooo good!“
“Very cool spot. I have driven by this coffee shop dozens of times and figured I would try it out. Got the classic mocha and it sure was good! They roast their own coffee here and even have it on display. If you are in the area and need some caffeine, check it out!“
“Cafe Patachou is always a classic when it comes to brunch. This location is no exception. We came on a Saturday at around 10:45 and they were pretty busy but thankfully there was at least one open table for us. Our waitress was very nice and attentive.I went for The Omelette You Can’t Refuse with a side of cinnamon toast. Definitely one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had. The cinnamon toast is also out of this world.Overall, if you’re in Indianapolis searching for a hyped brunch spot, this is the place! I’m obviously coming back!“
“We've been loyal to this First Watch for a couple of years. The food is always great, as are most of the staff. However, today we came in at about 2:15 and were told to order quickly because the kitchen closes at 2:30. That is the time posted for the restaurant to close. I have never been rushed to order at a restaurant because closing time is when the doors close and they stop letting diners in, not when the staff stop working. It's hard for me to recommend against going here, but that is bad business.“
“I had the pleasure to get to know some of the management team and baristas recently while shooting some branding/business photographs for them! The staff was so kind and inviting, they were friendly and familiar with their customers and communicated very well with each other and guests. The location is great and a very cozy place to relax and drink a latte. I absolutely recommend visiting their location and getting to know the team!“
“Gluten free toast, Gluten free breakfast potatoes were great. Bacon was blah - first time I left bacon on my plate.David, our server, was super nice and so cheerful. Definitely will go back - but not for the bacon.Dietary restrictions: Only gluten free options were toast and breakfast potatoes.“
“If you are in Indianapolis Friday-Monday brunch/lunch time, milktooth is a must eat! Menu is in constant flux with great inventiveness from the chefs, but there are always fantastic sweet and savory-Dutch babies, waffles, salads, usually a burger and damn that grilled cheese. The coffee/latte menu is also always new and so so good. No liquor, but beer/wine/lovely aperitifs. Currently set up also to do quick take out breakfast sandwich plus coffee for a really good price.“
“What a tremendous value eating here for lunch is here as part of Ivy Tech's Culinary Training Program. For $20 per person, you get a 3-course meal of appetizer, entree and dessert. There are several choices for the first two courses and usually one or two items for dessert. Beer is as inexpensive as $2 and glasses of wine for $8 per glass or $15 for a bottle. Students are learning to run a restaurant from all aspects including the hostess station, servers, manager and cooks. Tables are set with white table clothes with nice plates and silverware. It's a very nice venue which decades ago was a Marriott Hotel restaurant. It's on the top penthouse floor with great views of the city from 3 sides. Very enjoyable.“
“Enjoyed lunch at Cafe Audrey. Potato soup was delicious as well as the Reuben. The grilled cheese was a little disappointing on sourdough bread. Not really grilled or toasted. Service was good and they gave us Ice tea to go too! I guess I didn't take and picture of the food.“
“It was my first time in here, I was a bit confused on entering but I found the cafe & I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a really nice chill spot, either with friends or alone. There is also rock climbing & a gym. Definitely recommend!“
“The food was even better than expected. We loved the market veggie omelet, Belgian waffle, and grits. We will absolutely be making this a regular brunch spot. I do wish the service had been better. We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order, only after we went to the hostess stand to let them know we hadn’t been waited on. Then when we did get a server, it was really hard to flag them down to get help. Again, we will be back. The food was great and everyone was friendly. The service was just disorganized.“
“Bobbie catered an event at my home for about 40 people (drop-off and set-up; not staffed). The food was delicious! I received many compliments, and we had plenty! She helped me with menu choices and also to figure out when/how to deliver based on the time constraints of my event--she was a problem solver! So kind and helpful, right on time, and very well done!“
“I ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich and it was delicious. They sell by the pound too which makes me super happy!! The dressing is a mayo/greek yogurt and it’s very light! I’m not really a fan of dill, celery or mayo but mix it with chicken and it morphs into my favorite food!! Now that I’ve finally tried after driving by it for a decade, I’ll be a regular! Also I love supporting small local businesses!!“
“A City Market must try!I recently dropped by for a meal. My first choice, a shrimp po’ boy, was sold out. The lady behind the counter was quick to recommend the chicken sandwich. Her enthusiasm is certainly admirable. After re-reviewing the menu, I ultimately took her advice. Topped with a unique flavored coleslaw between French style bread, it was nothing short of delicious!A staple eatery in the good ol’ City Market that’s well worth trying!“
“I really enjoy Quills. Although it's not based in indianapolis, this is still a roaster and they serve their own coffee both as beverages or bagged. Large selection of single origins. Their Ethiopian is high quality, great fruitiness, makes wonderful pour over. Their blends are fun as well. Prefer this location over previous 9 on canal location as it feels more personalized to them as a coffee shop. Plenty of seating. Parking street side and a lot across if just want to run in and out. Cold brew strong and smooth. Hours extend into evening to likely accommodate college crowd in downtown indy. Often in overlooked in regards to indy coffee scene, likely due to being based out of Louisville. In that top tier of roasters, though, alongside likes of Calvin fletcher, tinker, helm, certain feelings.“
“I love this place for a light lunch or an afternoon snack and a cocktail. The decor is delightful and fun and they have an event space upstairs. The "house spritz" is my favorite drink and is very refreshing. I also enjoy pairing that with a popcorn flight. My service has always been good. Last time I was there an employee asked if I wanted to see the upstairs. I said yes and now I am trying to think of an event to host there. It's so pretty! Definitely pop in if you're in the Broad Ripple area.“
“Love Handle is a trendy cafe that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on the north end of Mass Ave. The dining room is colorful with the walls decorated in vintage paint by number art and other quirky items. The bright yellow and green vinyl seating is fun and comfortable. The menu is on a chalk board near the counter where you order. The best way to describe the good is Southern-inspired. I wanted to try the biscuit sliders that were in other Yelp reviews but they were not on the menu. I asked and the clerk said they could make some for us, the sliders are $7 each. The sliders came out in about 12 minutes served on vintage mismatched plates. I loved the sliders. The fried oyster biscuit slider was delicious. The oysters were juicy and had a lot of flavor with a light breading. The biscuits are salty, flaky and very good. There was a sauce on the oysters and melted cheese. The beef brisket biscuit slider was very good. There were two thick slices of tender brisket, melted cheese, a delicious sweet jam on one of their signature biscuits. The meat was slightly fatty, but good. They serve coffee, tea and assorted bottled and canned beverages, including beer. There are a few games around to play while you drink your coffee. There is metered street parking out front.“
“More than enough food for the price bacon egg pancakes hash browns less than 20 per person and I have leftovers to take home to my fur baby , or scramblers and skillets under $14.00 and services is impeccableKid-friendliness: I've never taken a child but their menu look goodWheelchair accessibility: Tables are correct height for wheelchairs they'll move a chair or whatever to accommodate“
“My first time here was today, 09/15 around noon. I asked the kind man behind the counter what he recommends. The said everything was vegan and the brownies and chocolate chip cookies are great. He also stated that the cupcake is good too. I went with his first suggestion and I'm glad I did. The brownie was very good. I only wish I could have warmed it up. If I'm ever in the area again, I definitely give them another visit.“
“I was looking for a cafe to get a bit of work done begin an appointment nearby, and came across this cafe at the Binford location of Northview Church. It's a beautiful newer church campus and as you enter the front of the building, the cafe is directly to the left of the auditorium. It was very quiet when I came in which I appreciated because I had a call to take.As mentioned in other reviews, the menu is basic but it's enough to get the job done. I ordered a chai latte and it did the job. There is worship music playing on the speakers in the background which did not bother me at all. There was no pressure from anyone as I came in, and there were a few people working. Plenty of comfy seating and outlets were available. I am definitely going to utilize this place again in the future. I'm not a member of Northview but am happy that I felt welcomed to come on in and have a seat for a while.“
“This is definitely a magical place for afternoon tea! Definitely make a reservation online to ensure that you and your party will have a place to sit and enjoy cake and treats in this tiny, magical oasis. Will you pay a breathtaking amount for a piece of cake ($17) and a cappacino ($8) -- yes. Will you remember feeling like a fairy princess -- definitely! Definitely consider coming if you are celebrating a special occasion -- let them know if there is a birthday so you can get sprinkled with glitter for your birthday wish :) Lio was our waitress today and she was delightful. She was attentive and really elevated the already wonderful experience.“
“So glad I was well enough to finally visit this store before it closes. So many beautiful things to look at & all their candles smelled wonderful. They also sell the 2 chicks & a hammer merch. Thanks to everyone who is involved in reviving our city, that I am so proud to call home“
“5 stars ★ From the moment we entered Another Broken Egg, we were greeted with the warmest welcome, thanks in large part to the manager, Andrea. She checked on us frequently, ensuring that our meal was enjoyable and that we had everything we needed. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely brunch. Manager’s recommendations from the menu were spot on. We tried the classic eggs benedict and the special s’more pancakes, both of which were absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back soon to try the cookie dough pancakes too!“
“First time trying the Cafe Bistro and it was excellent. We ordered a tomato basil soup and chicken lemon pesto gnocci - both of them were flavorful and tasted perfect. Or server was fantastic - he checked on us frequently, offered water and chocolate mints to go, and overall was welcoming and friendly. If I owned a restaurant, I'd hire him right away!“
“1) Some of the best coffee in Indianapolis. 2) Definitely the best quiche I ever bought-- and we've tried a bunch, and it's better than some of the quiches we've made at home. This is our go-to place for coffee in Indianapolis. We very much like the people and enjoy hanging out on the porch with coffee. It's a nice location right on the Monon. The indoor dining area was open as of late December 2023, and I enjoyed an espresso indoors and meeting somebody who was staying at the Broad Ripple Hotel.“
“I really love eating here there. But they sold me some scorched beans. The last time she gave me the option this time no option. So no I don't want any scorch beans. I will probably visit again.Cause I like their sandwiches and their beans.“
“First visit. Not DH's vibe (aka no hamburgers), but I loved it, and he was taking me out, so I win, the end. We had the fondue app, and I had the goat cheese with (perfectly thin) apple slices and pistachios and honey, and it was served with something like apple butter. It was delicious, and now I'm potentially going to have to work the recipe out for home use. There was no cola-type beverage, save for bottled Mexican Coke. Made for an easy choice, and the server brought out a carafe of cool water for us.The servers were lovely, the space was calm...it truly was my idea of a perfect evening out.Oh, except the booths. Boy, were they hard! I'm filing that under "over 50 issues", though. ?Vegetarian options: Note that most have cheese, so not VEGAN, but I saw mostly vegetarian choices.Parking: Not many spaces at restaurant, but it was so calm, we were able to get a space right in front.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp over to the side, with at least one handicapped accessible parking space.“
“Furst time Visit for dinner on a Wednesday. Other customers there but not really busy.Waitress came to table shortly after we sat down.Menu had large selection, many "homecooked" type of meals, i.e. meatloaf, Manhatten, ham , chicken, with potato and veggies sides andsoup / salad .I had beef Manhatten and'coleslaw, my friend had ham, mashed potatoes w/ gravy and vegetable. Both were large servings and very good.Very reasonable priced, and good service. We planned on returning. Unfortunately when we did they had changed their hours to breakfast and lunch.Hopefully they will return to dinner hours in future.“
“Outstanding food! So many people know about this great little place, that it is wildly crowded, lines are long and the noise is so loud your ears will ring. I guess that is a good problem for a business to have. Will try to hit on off days, if there is such a thing.“
“It was a beautiful day at the zoo! I have always loved going to zoos. I think the Indianapolis Zoo has done a good job giving animals nice, well kept areas being a zoo located within a big city. I am always a little disappointed when animals are temporary not on display, but understand this happens for various reasons. I also wish discounts for tickets were given to members. Can't wait to visit again.“
“Best tacos in Indianapolis! I’ve tried dozens of places in the midwest and nothing compares to this spot. I highly recommend this to anyone looking an authentic Mexican street tacos. The al pastor is hands down the best and you have to try their green sauce. 5 stars!“
“I recently discovered a fantastic diner called The Groovy Cat Cafe. I had the bacon quiche, which was absolutely delicious! The food is made with real, natural ingredients. Kathy, the owner, is incredibly kind and friendly. The cafe is clean and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere. They serve both breakfast and lunch, and the menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. The prices are reasonable, and Kathy is also a talented baker. Her baked goods are amazing and made with high-quality ingredients. I will definitely be back! We need more businesses like The Groovy Cat Cafe in our community. #supportsmallbusiness“
