Steph, on my first night I mentioned I’d be dining there for three nights, and she remembered me when I returned the next evening. She even introduced me to Zoe, knowing I'd likely be back again. By the third night, Zoe already knew my drink and remembered details from our previous conversations. She also did a great job of introducing Aiden. bartend who made the evening enjoyable with his friendly conversation and genuine hospitality.
What stood out most was how seamless and personal the experience felt. The team made me feel welcome every night, the meals were cooked to perfection.“

“One of the best small businesses in Indiana. The service, food and drinks are quite outstanding. They have the nicest establishment with a lot of unique foods and ingredients you won’t find elsewhere. Their coffee drinks are very unique and tasteful while their food is also very memorable and delicious. The waitresses and staff are very welcoming, kind, sweet, and helpful. It also doesn’t hurt that they are genuinely good people who don’t support ICE. It is always a pleasure to visit Borage. I have introduced and brought at least 5 different friends here.“

“Very cool atmosphere. The Christel DeHaan mansion is absolutely beautiful and unique. I encourage you to explore it before or after dinner. The service was excellent and food was good. A bit pricey for the quantity, but it was delicious. I had the salmon, asparagus(which was incredible), and the mash potatoes were very good. Great dining experience but be prepared for a hefty bill.“

“We ate here based on the fact it was right by the hotel. The atmosphere and decor was nice with a nice bar and TVs all around to see the sports games and the menu options were good. The food was amazing! I had the smoked wings, my son had the pulled pork with kettle chips and my husband the mahi tacos. We all loved our dishes! Our server was a little scarce seemed like maybe he had too many tables but he was nice and got everything we wanted. I would recommend the restaurant!“

“We needed a last-minute table for 20 people, and Kaylee and Curtis made it happen. They had everything set up perfectly and were incredibly kind throughout the entire experience.

“I tried the burger at Big Walt's Wings & More and it was seriously one of the best I’ve had in a while. The patty was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The bun was fresh and held everything together perfectly without getting soggy.

You can tell it’s made fresh, not just thrown together. Every bite had great flavor, and the portion size was solid for the price. Definitely not your average fast-food burger.

If you’re in the area, the burger alone is worth the stop.“

“The Ocarina of Fries! I’ve never tasted anything like this in my life of dining. Waffle Sweet potato fries with cinnamon and Brown sugar, Cream cheese sauce topped w/ Chives! OMGOODNESS!!! Then The Perfect Pizza totally lived up to its name. Oven baked Flatbread, marinara from the gods, old world pepperoni, fresh mozzarella and peppadew peppers. I added chorizo. Deeeeeeeeelicious! Soooo good!“

“Dined at the hotel restaurant several times during my stay. My hotel and this hotel share a parking lot. The Residence Inn and the Marriott Courtyard are directly across from each other. It was very convenient, considering how late I returned to my hotel after long day at IMS. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Burgers, flatbreads, & chicken sandwich options. Served very quickly as well. Everything was cooked to order and pretty good. Can get crowded depending on the time. They also offer breakfast, but I never made that.

Parking: Charged for parking. Even when staying as a guest.“

The staff was very nice and accommodating-as I gave up my table reservation to others with a larger party to sit on the patio (I was alone). The menu for the event was beautifully tailored and the bar staff was incredibly attentive. The ambiance was lovely, despite the quick rain, and it made for an enjoyable Saturday evening.“

“Great food, service, and atmosphere. I like these quaint, old-school bars. Just right! The tacos on Tuesday are good. The chicken wings anytime are my favorite. Absolutely sizzling hot when they are served. Got a basket of crinkle cuts before the wings came out and washed it all down with ice cold beer that was reasonably priced. Will always stop in before race nights at the nearby dirt track. Great job Generations Grill!“

“We stopped in for lunch after exploring The State Museum for about an hour and were not disappointed. I was torn between ordering the Sweet Cheery Walnut Chicken Sandwich and the Huntington, but being a native born Hoosier I picked the Huntington and was not disappointed. The pork tenderloin was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. So good!!!!! We also had the Club and Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese, which were also very good.“

“The day before my dad’s funeral, I went to the mall to buy a pair of black pants. There’s often something cathartic for me about the anonymity of the mall, of being surrounded by people all set on their own missions, none of whom are concerned about who you are or what you’re there for. Yet, I cried my way through that shopping trip, lonely and unmoored, trying to imagine a world without my dad. And then I stumbled into the Cafe.

I’d been once or twice before. I found myself at Keystone often in the months prior because my hairstylist was located in the salon suites across the way. In that moment, I wasn’t invisible. My grief was shared. Maybe she’ll read this one day and know how much it meant to me. Maybe she won’t. But I guess what I’m saying is: Some people have their neighborhood pub or the quirky coffeeshop around the corner from their job. I have the Nordstrom Cafe. And there’s something kind of beautiful about that.“
