The food was good and came out quickly despite our large group. But what really stood out was the genuine care from the staff. They understood this wasn't just dinner—it was rare time with family we don't see often enough.

“My biscuits and gravy were served with spoiled gravy. It took me a couple minutes to realize the cheese aftertaste was spoiled milk. I've have had diarrhea all day....I will never come back. Clearly unsafe food handling and cooks who do not taste what they are serving.... in 45 years I have never had bad biscuits and gravy until today.“

“Very informal, which made us feel right at home. Great breaded tenderloin and fries. The soft pretzel with beer cheese appetizer was wonderful. Good selection of beers on tap. Had my first Hopopotomus IPA, and really enjoyed it. Prices were generally on the lower side. We felt there was a lot of value for the money. There is a 3% fee added for use of a credit card but the amount is inconsequential.“

“Looking for a Pork Tenderloin Sandwich in Indy, because that is a 'thing' to do? The Boathouse Grill has a Pork Tenderloin Sandwich so big you will have to eat it with two hands. This is even after one had trimmed down the tender breaded patty. Top it off with a side of tots and you will definitely be full.“

The outdoor patio space is a perk in warmer weather, lots of table space indoors to eat and all the service was polite and quick to attend our needs. The pool tables are a plus. A new favorite local spot for me!“

“The Juicy Lucy burger is fantastic and the servers are very friendly and accommodating. The old guys sitting at the bar stare at you the whole time you're waiting for your food, whether you're standing or sitting at a table, but I guess that's their thing. That's happened every time I've been there. Other than the rude regulars, everything else about Mikie's is great and I'll definitely be back.“

“Great food, service, and atmosphere. I like these quaint, old-school bars. Just right! The tacos on Tuesday are good. The chicken wings anytime are my favorite. Absolutely sizzling hot when they are served. Got a basket of crinkle cuts before the wings came out and washed it all down with ice cold beer that was reasonably priced. Will always stop in before race nights at the nearby dirt track. Great job Generations Grill!“

Great ambience and a great place to hang out.
We got a pizza brussel sprouts and a wedge romaine salad.
The pizza was thin crust and had great flavor.
Brussel sprouts was an interesting pairing with cherries and mustard seed...it worked well, I think maybe slightly less of the mustard would have been nice.
The wedge salad is a classic and they did a great job with that.“

“I travel to Indy once or twice a year, and I make sure I stop at KSR for food and drinks. By far the best family-owned bar and restaurant I have visited in Indy. I highly recommend this place. Do not judge by appearance (which I believe makes it a better experience). The pizza, wings, and sandwiches are off the charts. Hell, the salads look amazing, and I am not a big salad fan. “This is a great restaurant and bar inside the Sheraton hotel.
When I went for dinner, they were not busy at all and I was seated right away at the bar. The staff immediately came over and took my order for drinks.
They have a good size menu with lots of options. I chose the cheese raviolis and they were really good. Extremely cheesy and the cream sauce was really flavorful as well. It was a good portion for the price.“

“Definitely 21 & over. They card you at the door upon entry. Basically you order at the bar, tell them where you will be sitting, & they bring it to you. Tons of TV with lots of sports plus horse racing. Let's talk about the menu it's not large, but definitely has something for everyone. Indiana known for Pork Tenderloin Sandwich was a great size & enjoyed the seasoned fries. At the bartender's suggestion I tried the Pork Tenderloin with mashed potatoes, cream gravy, & onion strings. Fantastic! Full bar & enjoyed a really tasty margarita. Would definitely go back.“

The staff could have been better at coming back to check on us and paying better attention to bringing the correct drinks and returning for refills, but overall, it was a pleasant first-time experience.
