“AJs is hands down my favorite place to eat. We go here as often as we can and we order food from them ALL the time. The food NEVER MISSES. Not one time has the food been sub par or anything less than perfect. And I am talking about dozens and dozens of time. Not just a handful. No where else has consistently cooked delicious food. It would even be okay if they had a miss once in a while, but they just don’t. Lol. When I ask my kids what they want to eat for dinner it is AJs 9/10 times. We mostly order out but when we dine in, the staff is amazing and the times are fast. When I just sit at the bar for a drink, the bartenders are friendly and attentive. Pizza was definitely the favorite item ordered as I looked around at what others ordered.Service was spotty. There were long periods of time our server was missing. Actually, I couldn't locate her and had to go into the bar to get our check. Never did find her.Great old restaurant/bar, and it's definitely significant history. “It's a total dive, but it literally has the miloyst diverse crowd I've ever seen. Hippies and socialites in fur coats .lol ..cheap basic drinks. Always seems to be something going on. I recently moved to neighborhood so it's 2 seconds away. Also as a single woman. The vibe was chill and the bartenders are mindful. Never felt uncomfortable stopping for a drink in the way on home, or getting a cocktail on a random Tuesday by myself. I never felt like prey, so ++ on that.“

“The bartender was friendly right from the moment we walked in. We had our kids with us and it was very comfortable for us. The food came out very quickly and it was all FANTASTIC! We all had something different and every meal was full of flavor. I should know, I tried all the food my family ordered. The French fries were great and the Cole slaw was perfect. 10/10 I absolutely recommend eating here! We stayed at Staybridge Suites and it was a 2 block walk.“

“I was visiting a friend at St. Francis hospital and drove by Barton's with a "Now Open" sign. I hadn't had lunch, so I pulled in to check out a new pub.The bar felt like a fun neighborhood bar with everyone knowing each other. Today at lunch, the crowd was mostly older, 55+, with younger patrons entering ( around 2:00 p.m.) as we dined. As you enter, you walk directly in front of the bar. A half-wall separates the bar from the 2 - and 4-top tables plus high-tops. The game area is in the back of the bar with pool tables, dart boards, and a jukebox with all tall-top tables or standing bar ledges in the back.The menu offers the standard pub options with a nice selection of appetizers, burgers, tenderloins, sandwiches, salads, and dinner options. Today's lunch special was a chicken fettuccine ($10.99) or shrimp Fettuccine ($1 upcharge for shrimp) served with garlic toast. The Shrimp and Broccoli Fettuccine was a large serving and very tasty, but I had to take most of it home.The bartender/server could not have been nicer, super efficient, and made me feel very welcome. She covered the entire restaurant and didn't miss a beat.I definitely would stop back in when I'm in the area. It's fun to be in a neighborhood bar where friends hang out together.“

“Food was made fresh and tasted great. Only downside from my experience is that they’re cash only and didn’t mention that until after I had finished my lunch. Their resolution was an ATM in the back of the bar, which is a great idea in theory, but it didn’t have any cash in it. I ended up driving down to a gas station to their ATM and getting cash. Bottom line, if you’re in the mood for some great bar food, stop here…just bring cash“

“1st time and definitely will be back! Drinks and food are so good!! I ordered the Electric Lemonade and the famous stuffed breadsticks as well as chicken tenders. Great atmosphere, lots of TVs and great music playing. At the entrance someone asks to see your ID and if you go late it does get pretty busy. My husband and I went at 10 pm the 1st night on Thursday, then went for lunch on Saturday.“

Words cannot describe the exceptional service from top to bottom and they clearly have a great culture. Service, food, and atmosphere make this one of the best sports bars. Try the Hermanaki wings and don't miss out on the pizza which is phenomenal. You won't find this cocktail on the menu but you have to try Eddie's Big Foxy, it will not disappoint!“
