“I am not usually inclined to leave a review, but I feel as tonight's visit warrants a call out. As a parent that has a child with a gluten allergy we know the struggles of finding places out to eat. We have had Azzip a few times, but have always ordered ahead of time online then drove to the store to pick it up. This evening, we found ourselves out on errands and in the area and decided Azzip had been a safe choice in the past so we made our way there. The store was not busy, but there people ahead of us and behind us and I felt the protocol followed didn't slow the process terribly but I want to commend the staff for taking it seriously. What I witnessed: 2 people working the line making the pizza on the "ingredients" side of the oven. my kid informed them of the gluten free need and they asked if it was preference or allergy. my kid informed them of allergy. they cleared the line of the previous pizza being made once cleared, they stripped their gloves and cleaned the work space and the sauce bottle my kid wanted on their pizza a cooking mat from a separate area was produced and the cauliflower crust requested was added all the toppings requested were added then the pizza was placed in the oven. there was communication to the receiving team member that an allergen pizza was coming afterwards, my other kid and my pizza were started only after the 1st was placed in the oven. after the gluten free pizza came out of the oven, I noticed the cutting instrument was different than what was used for the other pizzas we ordered. Our experiences thus far is many people don't understand what Celiac disease is and how gluten can harm the body of those affected. It is more than just the ingredients consumed; cross contamination is the true problem. Seeing the team execute the procedure with care warmed my heart as I know it takes a lot of effort to create the process, then train to it and then to follow it. My appreciation to the team! We will definitely be back!“

Azzip is going on my list of favorite pizza 💯 I tried the Smokehouse MacDaddy and CBR square. Flavor explosion and perfect crust on both! I also tried the house ranch dressing and it was top notch. I need a bottle of it! I rarely leave reviews but had to say something about this pizza!“

“My favorite hobby is trying local joints from places I travel too. This adventure led me to this joint. I had the Spicy Bee & Bazbeaux Special (half & half). Both were good, but would totally get the Bezbeaux Special again…so tasty! If you enjoy light beers, I recommend Daredevil from a local brewery. My only con is the bottom crust wasn’t as done for me, but that is a personal preference (I typically ask for well done pizza). Would completely recommend to anyone looking for a pizza joint with a vibe!“

This 100% halal, Muslim- and Black-owned spot is doing some amazing things with pizza, and my husband and I are already planning our next visit. As a pescatarian, I was so excited to see their Shrimp Curry Pizza on the menu – something you definitely don’t see every day. My husband ordered the Jerk Chicken Pizza, and let me tell you, the food was beyond delicious. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, the curry flavor was on point, and the portions? Hearty and satisfying! By my third slice, I was full – which is rare for most pizza spots. We couldn’t even wait to get home. We parked and enjoyed the pizza in the car (it’s that good). The customer service was top-notch too. The young lady who helped us was super kind, fun, and informative – a total pleasure to chat with. The place was spotless, and the food came out fast. It’s such an easy, lovely walk from the IRT or Hilbert Circle Theater, and the perfect way to ease from the arts into a cozy, relaxed dinner. We always order the deep dish stuffed veggie supreme (because the veggirs are so fresh… how could we not?) and start with calamari. And yes… the cheese pull is every bit as good as people say. Sitting by those big windows, people watching, unwinding after the performance—it just turns dinner into an experience. And the service is consistently warm and thoughtful. Picked up an order of nachos today to go and ask for chips on the side. while I was waiting for my order… I watched a kid try to fit chips in to a pizza box several times, crushing chips. Then, moved to a bag but the actual nachos was too hot for a bag. He moved back to the nachos in pizza box and chips in separate bag. When my name came up and I realized this is my order, I asked for new unbroken bag of chips and the kid denied crushing my chips. He even asked why I didn’t stop him if I was sitting there watching him. I said I didn’t know it was my order but I thought it might be. All happened to fast. The rest was a huge ordeal and truly sucked just for asking for new chips that weren’t broken.“

There was also a younger blonde woman who was flying around the entire time I was there, cleaning the dining room, checking on customers and even stopped my drink from overflowing when it took me too long to get back to it when filling up my drink. She didnt stop for even a moment to catch her breath, but was doing an exceptional job the entire time I was there.“
