“Tonight while waiting to play trivia a guy came in and was handing out a card saying he was deaf and needed money. My friend Chelsea Haboush who is a server there immediately kicked him out than told me that he is not deaf and has spoken to her before. He has also run this scam before. While I am very frustrated that someone would fake a disability I am thankful for Chelsea's quick reaction and kindness“

“Came here to get a beer (I’m 6’5), left blackout drunk with about 60 new friends and a few new plugs (also I’m tatted). The bartender made me put on shutter shades and took a selfie with me, I was confused about that but it was honestly such a vibe. After a while of watching tv there I realized the show I was watching was a slideshow of bar patrons & regulars, all wearing the same shutter shades, which made me understand. Not the bar’s fault. Will be back for dinner.“

I love the unpretentious atmosphere and the friendliness of many other guests who, from time to time and for no particular reason, stop to have a few words with me.“

“Called here yesterday 10/31 - after a visit to the Zoo and on our way to the airport for our flight back to the UK. Wanted somewhere local. We weren’t disappointed. It’s off the usual “tourist trail” but not far from the Zoo and handy if you’ve been to watch a Colts game too. Food was lovely, quick service by the very lovely Bobbi, in her Halloween 🎃 outfit. “I was skeptical about their move across the street - and the bar is absolutely noticeably shorter now.

But I went back recently and it's my new favorite spot again. They're known for their deep dish pies, but they have a thin crust margherita pizza now that is scrumptious.

Sometimes you can get it with pinched crust depending on who is in the kitchen. I believe when it comes out that way it's one of the best pizzas in Indy right now in terms of nailing the fundamentals.

The manager who is in there all the time is also fantastic. Just a great guy, fun to talk to, good sense of humor. He sets a really great laid back, calm and considerate tone for the rest of the staff.

Union Jack has become my go to for a place to just relax, unwind, and enjoy a meal at a leisurely pace.

I never feel any pressure in this place to be or do or say anything that I don't want to to keep up some kind of appearance. The overwhelming sense I get from this place is.. chill.

Which can come at a cost, sometimes service is a little slower. But frankly, I prefer the human touch they take the time to put on the things they do.“

“My biscuits and gravy were served with spoiled gravy. It took me a couple minutes to realize the cheese aftertaste was spoiled milk. I've have had diarrhea all day....I will never come back. Clearly unsafe food handling and cooks who do not taste what they are serving.... in 45 years I have never had bad biscuits and gravy until today.“

Indiana known for Pork Tenderloin Sandwich was a great size & enjoyed the seasoned fries. At the bartender's suggestion I tried the Pork Tenderloin with mashed potatoes, cream gravy, & onion strings. Fantastic! Full bar & enjoyed a really tasty margarita. Would definitely go back.“
