“I was skeptical about their move across the street - and the bar is absolutely noticeably shorter now.

But I went back recently and it's my new favorite spot again. They're known for their deep dish pies, but they have a thin crust margherita pizza now that is scrumptious.

Sometimes you can get it with pinched crust depending on who is in the kitchen. I believe when it comes out that way it's one of the best pizzas in Indy right now in terms of nailing the fundamentals.

The manager who is in there all the time is also fantastic. Just a great guy, fun to talk to, good sense of humor. He sets a really great laid back, calm and considerate tone for the rest of the staff.

Union Jack has become my go to for a place to just relax, unwind, and enjoy a meal at a leisurely pace.

I never feel any pressure in this place to be or do or say anything that I don't want to to keep up some kind of appearance. The overwhelming sense I get from this place is.. chill.

Which can come at a cost, sometimes service is a little slower. But frankly, I prefer the human touch they take the time to put on the things they do.“
