Was in the area with a friend, so we googled food near us, and this place came up with some amazing reviews. Place is legit with some perfectly smoked meats, delicious variety of sauces, and some great customer service. Got the opportunity to chat with CJ and her husband, the two owners. Smokin Barrel Barbeque is a small establishment run out of the Sertoma Community Center on the southeast side of the Indy Metro area. The place does not look like a restaurant when you approach but the menu is on a white board as you walk in. The selection is streamlined, BBQ-dominated and carnivore-oriented with sides Baked Beans, Kickin Coleslaw, potato salad, Mac and cheese and banana pudding. customer can order at the kitchen doorway and enjoy a large event area with cafeteria‑style seating or a drive thru. meal mentioned are the Pulled Pork Sandwich, Chopped Chicken Sandwich, 3 meat meal, half slab rib dinner, rib tips, brisket and the half slab rib dinner with potato salad, coleslaw, Mac and cheese and banana pudding. The ribs are seasoned well, fall right off the bone and the sauce is finger licken good. Prices are quite reasonable, about $14 each with drinks and tip. The proprietors and owners are friendly, super kind and engaging with people. Service is Old school customer service, friendly staff and quality BBQ. reviews say they will return, tell friends and family and recommend this spot for a small town feel and great BBQ.
