“Excellent food - pork, brisket, pork belly, pies and sides! Customer service was above and beyond!“
“While I'm not a fan of "hunting lodge" style atmosphere, I can see the appeal. Dining room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Chef Shawn has a strong passion for BBQ and it shows! I took my In Laws there for dinner. Their BBQ parfait was outstanding and the pulled pork was tender, moist and full of flavor. Exactly what you want when you go for a pulled pork sandwich. I highly recommend you at least give it a try!
Dietary restrictions: While BBQ may not be for everyone, there are options for those who are looking for items that are gluten free or even diabetic friendly!
Wheelchair accessibility: The main door to the building has a circle drive directly to the parking area.“

“Big Hoffa’s is consistently good bbq and the staff there are some of the friendliest in the restaurant scene in the greater Indianapolis area. I just tried their smashburger this week for the first time, and it knocked us off our feet. The beef itself was tasty, the onions and pickles compliment each other well, and THAT SAUCE was smashtabulous! Keep goin’, you have the magic touch! Josh is amazing!“

“We usually frequent a different location, but recently visited your Carmel location and found it to be a great experience. From calling in via phone Gretta was fantastic, warm, and friendly (which seems to be a list skill set for many)Then our server Emily did a wonderful job of taking our order and servicing us. My ribs were dry, but everything else was great.“

“Whenever we dine in at this location the food, the service, even the atmosphere has always been a positive experience.
But I ordered takeout a few days ago and when I came in to pick it up the guy at the greeting station is sitting on the little counter leaned over with his face buried in his phone. The door makes noise and I saw him glance at me as I walked up so he was fully aware i was there, but he chose to stay on his phone then after about 4 or 5 seconds without even looking up he says "what you need?". I said I had a togo order and gave my name. Instead of him getting off his phone and retrieving my order he yells toward the employees where take out orders are staged and a really nice employee brought it over smiling, thanking me and just being being genuinely nice while that lump just stayed hunched over saying nothing still on his phone.
Why you would put someone so lazy and disrespectful as a greeter is questionable.
This is the person at the front of the house greeting customers as they come in to spend money at your business. Being greeted by a someone like this is bad management.
This isn't going to stop us from eating here, but if that lump is still the greeter and he's on his phone we will walk past and find an actual employee to seat us.“

“Great place! Some of the juiciest pulled pork that I’ve ever had. Sweet tea, cornbread, and delicious cake! I would not recommend the brisket however, way too dry.
Also the inside dining room is awesome - lots of old artifacts and antiques make this place a must visit. I’d drive a good distance to come back!“
