“After a long weekend of hiking this was THE PERFECT barbecue spot to come back to, the deserts were absolutely delectable me and my friend got the Apple Carmel cobbler, the cream pie, as well as the sweet potatoes pie and each of them were absolutely amazing, the food is also sensational my friend got the brisket potatoes and added jalapeño’s and it was absolutely amazing the brisket was tender the potatoes skin paired perfectly with the jalapeños and brisket and the sour cream as an amazing cherry on top, I got the rip tips which were extremely juicy and flavorful as well as Mac and cheese and potatoe salad which you can tell were made with A LOT of care and time overall this place hit the spot would come back to Indian just for this“

“We tried @halfliter_bbq in #Indianapolis, and this is what we rated them. A couple of things first. It was their Octoberfest, so they were very busy. Even with that, the food was out in 6 minutes! Brisket 8.5. Bark was very good, and the meat fell apart. Pork 7.8. Smoked well, was just dry Chicken Breast 8.8 Best thing we tried here for sure. Smoked wings 6.5. Very good flavor, but it was super dry Turkey. 7.9. Thick and smoked well, just a little to dry for us Sausage 8.0. Good flavor with a little heat Also, the pickled onions were outstanding. “I tried the burger at Big Walt's Wings & More and it was seriously one of the best I’ve had in a while. The patty was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The bun was fresh and held everything together perfectly without getting soggy.

You can tell it’s made fresh, not just thrown together. Every bite had great flavor, and the portion size was solid for the price. Definitely not your average fast-food burger.

I thought I’d give it a second change and try again. Glad I did because the quality has been consistent since and this is my go-to wings place.“

“Let me start by saying...WOW! This place is by far one of the best and most authentic Barbecue joints this side of Beale Street. The ribs are tender and swimming in a sauce so good it can only be handmade. The sides leave nothing to want for and the staff is just as sweet as the sweet potato pie. Hands down the best place for ribs in the state, they must animals volunteering to lay on that smoker because they know a pit master when they see one! 10/10“

“I recently visited His Place Eatery while in Indianapolis and decided to try something a little different — the grilled collard greens and cheese sandwich with sweet potatoes, plus an additional side of collard greens.

The collard greens grilled cheese is a great and creative concept. My only concern was that the greens were a bit too juicy, which made the sandwich soggy. Because of that, it’s probably not something I would order again personally.

That said, the food overall was very tasty, and the flavors were on point. The collard greens and sweet potatoes were well-seasoned and enjoyable. I appreciate the creativity and soul put into the dishes.

The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, making it a good spot if you're craving traditional comfort food.

I'll most definitely revisit and try other items on the menu!

“The BEST PORK ON BUN IN INDY!! There BBQ sauce goes so well with the salty, well seasoned meat. I've been going there for YEARS! I intend on going sometime this week as well. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. They PACK their SOFT BUNS full of that FATTY GOODNESS! The meat overFLOWS way beyond the huge bun. I easily get TWO servings out of one sandwich.“

“Went there for lunch and offered two small rib tip dinners. One spicy one mild and sizes were green bean and Mac n cheese/ potato salad and baked beans. Oh and a slice of chess pie. The rib tips were plentiful and nice size. The sauce was spicy but not overly. Mac and cheese was creamier than cheesy. I liked it my girl said it tasted like stovetop. The green beans were alright could have had a lil bit more seasoning tho. Baked beans were out the can with some brown sugar. The chess pie was good but I'm used to sweeter versions. All in all 40 bucks spent well.“

We loved our brunch reception with delicious breakfast food and classic Sahm’s coffee cake. The event space is warm, inviting, and the right size to host lots of different types of weddings or gatherings. Also, the location is perfect - the Monon trail is a gorgeous place for pictures and features a lot of cool artwork/murals. I definitely recommend checking out Liter House for your event!“

“We ate at the bar and our bartender was fabulous. The ribeye steaks were great. Our only suggestions for improvement are to coordinate course delivery better. We had our appetizer, soup, salad and entre all arrived within 12 minutes. What do I let get cold? Do better!“

“Food is great! Fish must have been in a clean fryer, it looked great.

Unfortunately like every other place that does food this way, they drop the fish directly into the styrofoam to save 5 seconds (or whatever their reason for giving their customers cancer is).

Sorry I will have to keep looking for a fish place bc requesting they not do this is out of the question: I honestly can't handle another person looking at me with vacant uncomprehending eyes and acting incredulous for my ridiculous request to not have a melted plastic glaze on my food.“
