The chicken was cooked to perfection, perfect crunch, perfect spice/heat. Might try hotter next time. The mashed tators and the "kickin" gravy were delicious. Now, the colored greens. Folks, there is a science to cooking great colored greens. Cook'em slow and low, good seasoning, get that tenderness. “Came to town for a concert, and on the way home, I was craving fried chicken. Googled, "best fried chicken" and this place showed up. The fried chicken was indeed phenomenal, and the Mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. the potatoes and the green beans were amazing, too. But the best thing about this restaurant is the people. Every person we interacted with was insanely kind, so very warm and welcoming, and we're already planning on driving the 2.5 hours back for more food! Huge portions, very reasonable pricing. You will not leave hungry, that's for sure!“

“The server was fabulous. It took nearly 40 min to get the wine after ordering and when we orders the restaurant was not yet full. Our food arrived shortly about 15 min later. Thus, we only had one beverage. If the wine had arrived sooner, we'd have had time for more. All of the food was incredibly delish. One person had the risotto with scallops, another the salmon and the last had the gnocchi, which is a signature dish. All tasted fabulous, however the gnocchi was barely enough to qualify as a single appetizer with just 10 little gnocchi in a cream sauce with two fried sage leaves. Yep, left awfully hungry and went down the street for something else to eat. Oh well.. I will go back, but will check the portion size first before ordering. There seemed to be great variation on the portion size of the entrees. You expect to pay more for shellfish and scallops or steak, but the portions were also three times the size of the gnocchi which cost $2.20 each!“

We tried the hush puppies and if they offered more pieces, we'd definitely order again.The mainstay of this restaurant is the fried chicken. For the price, the portions are fair and available in dark meat, white meat, and chicken half variants. To be honest, the breading was a little disappointing. It was a bit overcooked and browned instead of the gold you would expect from a crispy piece of chicken. Maybe the staff was having an off day.The restaurant smelled like a very clean Brothers Bar and Grill, which is to say there's probably a heavy drinking crowd at night. I would still go again, but only in the day.The waiter was very helpful, knew the menu inside and out, and attentive. The restaurant itself looks like it was AI-generated so you can tell it's some corporate franchise but otherwise it's a cute spot. If you have a picky eater to deal with, this is a good restaurant to choose.“
