“Great place with an industrial feel. The shrimp and grits are incredibly good. The chicken and waffles with the hot (spicy) honey is fantastic. We split 2 entrees between 3 people. A perfect fit.Definitely recommend reservations, but we had no problem getting a seat at the bar.Riley and Lindsey were friendly and attentive. Great recommendations from them for food and drinks.“

“I enjoy placing a order online to pick up and never have a be concerned that my order is missing anything. This time when I got there to pick up my order I was surprised that I had to wait for over a half hour before it was ready. I ordered the peach cobbler but what I got was individual servings instead of the order that served 5 people and no one explained why the change. I also requested the corn bread with each meal but I only got 3 bags containing 2 pieces of corn bread. Instead of contacting Cracker Barrel and questioning my order I thought that I was shorted on the corn bread due to the Easter holiday and I didn't get my pan of peach cobbler for the same reason. In order to ensure that I will have plenty of food for my get-together I made more corn bread and another dessert. I now know that before I ever leave the restaurant I need to verify that everything I ordered is in my bag.“
“This is my first visit to Joella's. I live like 5 blocks but never came in the 2 yrs I've lived in Indy. I had the quarter half, tweener level heat, mash tators and colored greens. The chicken was cooked to perfection, perfect crunch, perfect spice/heat. Might try hotter next time. The mashed tators and the "kickin" gravy were delicious. Now, the colored greens. Folks, there is a science to cooking great colored greens. Cook'em slow and low, good seasoning, get that tenderness. Y'all, these colored greens were so freakin good, they will make you slap your momma, then turn around and ask her to slap you back! Amazing!Folks get here, eat, be super happy. “Came to town for a concert, and on the way home, I was craving fried chicken. Googled, "best fried chicken" and this place showed up. The fried chicken was indeed phenomenal, and the Mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. the potatoes and the green beans were amazing, too. But the best thing about this restaurant is the people. Every person we interacted with was insanely kind, so very warm and welcoming, and we're already planning on driving the 2.5 hours back for more food! Huge portions, very reasonable pricing. You will not leave hungry, that's for sure!“
“The food was amazing. Sadly they were out of oxtails so curiosity had me try the turkey chops and they were magnificent. Tender, filling and with an amazing gravy. The green beans and collard greens were wonderful as was the fried okra. Was there with a friend who got the ribs and commented on how great the sauce was. I plan to come again as well as telling friends about it.“

“The cutest restaurant on Main! The day I visited the staff was behind and they were up front about being behind. They asked if we could wait 15 mins. so that the staff could catch up. I did not mind and they also were very thankful in return.The menu presented refreshing options for this Carmel resident. It’s one of a kind and the food was delicious. I tried the blackened tilapia sandwich and my husband had the short rib and pimento grilled cheese. We both found our choices satisfactory. I also had the side of coconut rice and black beans which was slightly sweet as expected and still great. As for our appetizer the crab and artichoke dip was delightful.This is a must try for everyone!“
