“Tonight while waiting to play trivia a guy came in and was handing out a card saying he was deaf and needed money. My friend Chelsea Haboush who is a server there immediately kicked him out than told me that he is not deaf and has spoken to her before. He has also run this scam before. While I am very frustrated that someone would fake a disability I am thankful for Chelsea's quick reaction and kindness“

I've been going to Union Jack for some ten years now and have seen it transition from the old to new location. The atmosphere is friendly and the staff is great. John, Niya, and Aubrey make you feel right at home and remember your favorites when you come back.
If you like a spot that is a sports friendly hangout and a causal dining experience, this is the place for you.

“I wish I had remembered to write this after we got home from dinner so I could remember our amazing server's name, but alas...
A few weeks ago, we had dinner for a friend's birthday. Overall, a party of around 8-10 on a Sunday night. We had a fantastic server all evening, who was attentive and had good humor. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was so nice and cozy.
It was the first time I've been there in many, many years, and I don't know why we don't try to visit more often.“

“Traveling from Michigan and came across Upland Brewing. Stopped in for a beer and a quick snack. The Juiced in Time Haze IPA and Two of Tarts sour were both amazing. The staff were great! And the food was tasty, we will definitely be back and highly recommend if you’re in the area.“

“Awesome neighborhood bar atmosphere. Great staff! Everyone was very friendly! I had a coney with tater tots. Coney sauce was on point and tater tots were nice and crispy! No one likes soggy tots! Overall nice place, reasonable pricing, clean (including bathrooms!), good bar food, and fun place to hang out and watch football!“

We were pleasantly surprised to meet Patty when we were contemplating where to eat. She came outside and greeted us & welcomed us in!!!! So fun and this is definitely the place to be!! John took wonderful care of anything we needed. The food was ABSOLUTELY perfect!!! We ordered the Patty Melt with seasoned fries & Black and Bleu Burger with salad!!! There are no words to describe it. What a great atmosphere and all around experience!!! They have a wonderful patio with fans. Definitely the place to enjoy your lunch!!“

“Used to stop by late nights when riding to meet up with past colleagues and now due to the bartenders always being super cool, I have become kind of a regular I guess. Biker friendly, no colors, but wear my support gear (red and white for life) with zero issues... everyone is always cool and the pizza is just fire!!!!!! Place has been around for a long long time Great local chill place and highly recommended

“Hands down the best bar in Carmel. The owners have really built a great atmosphere to hang out right on the Monon. Excellent place to grab a cold beer after a run, grab a drink & food on date night, or watch an IU football game. If you are visiting Carmel it’s a must stop.“
“We only stopped by for a beer. The service was excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food looked good but we already ate. Ordered the Church Milk Stout and it was delicious and smooth. At over 6% one was enough. Tried the Jack Ringo. Very hot finish!“

“Had a great experience at public house! My husband and I went to grab a drink Thursday night. It's a seat yourself kind of restaurant, and we were greeted immediately. Our server was positive, attentive, and made us feel welcome the entire time, along with the other staff. Drinks came out quickly, she checked in regularly, and her upbeat attitude really made the night better. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests. We’ll definitely be back!“
