“Had a great experience before leaving Lawrence this morning. The cafe we were planning on going to for breakfast was closed, so we went a couple storefronts down to Global Cafe. The weather was gorgeous and we ate outside. I had a fantastic smoothie and latte. In the time it took us to finish our meal, I watched as the waitstaff handed out no less than eight free to-go breakfasts and coffees to what appeared to be people without housing. From the interactions I witnessed, it was clear that these were regular customers, and the waitstaff treated them with such dignity - just like any other customer. “Had a wonderful breakfast at Milton's. Our waitress forgot to put our order in to the kitchen, so we were delayed about 15 minutes. But the staff was very apologetic, and gave us a nice discount! Loved everything about Milton's, and highly recommend!“
