There were four employees working and they were all friendly, welcoming and attentive.
The chopped barbecue sandwich and Mac and cheese were delicious. The chicken was a little dry but still had good flavor.

Stopped at the Joplin Mo Billy Sims at 12:45 for 1/2 of pound of sliced brisket. The they at the drive through was very rude. And informed me they had just done a big catering and had no sliced brisket. Isn’t that your business?
How does a place that’s main menu idea brisket and they are out? Other brisket place was happy to take my money.

I ordered 3 lbs brisket and 3 lb of chicken also ordered 4 pints of potato salad and 4 pints of baked beans the Brisket and Chicken was so dry and parts of it was overcooked. I was serving out of state hunters. I have eaten here several times and I have never sent in a review, but this isn't the only time this has happened to me. I was very disappointed last night.

I was very impressed. I was lucky and got the turkey fresh out of the smoker and we have about a 30 minute drive home and it was still warm and the juiciest turkey I've had! The brisket was delicious. Green and baked beans, delicious. I believe i may frequent there all.the time now. I will recommend that they start making cheesy corn as a side! Service was great too! My daughter and i went Sunday afternoon 10-19-24 good job!

Gotta be honest and give you the win. Hands down the best bbq in town that I’ve had so far. The brisket is to die for. We have yearly trips to Wichita and we won’t be traveling very far for BBQ anymore. Billy sims all the way hand down.

Went in to make a pretty decent order. Upon entering nobody greeted us or said one word, they just kept doing what they were doing. We waited for about 5 min just standing there. At that point I feel very disrespected and left. Needless to say nobody said anything once again. I won't go there again!!

Staff inside with poor attitudes. When attempting to solve an online order problem I was told “sorry I just work here” made me pay for the sides I can back to collect. Will likely never eat here again.
I don’t know if management has changed but prior it was truly hit or miss what you would get coming here. We used to love this place but the inconsistency of things kept us away. Well we decided to give it a go last night… we had great service, exceptional food, and the sweet tea hit just right. Yay!

I'm not typically a fan of BBQ in Wichita but was impressed with a recent carry out order from Billy Sims. The meats (brisket and pulled pork) were juicy, well seasoned, and perfectly smoked. The sides (beans and potato salad) were on point. Will return.
Parking: There is a seasonal farmer vendor selling fresh produce in the parking lot. A nice complement to BBQ.
This place has got to the point of not feeding you. Portions are very small. Sides are an ice cream scoop. $16 for a meal and you will leave hungry

I've eaten here 6 times and they have been out of hot links 3 of the 6 times. I guess thats what happens when you serve a good product. BUT... when they do have hot links, they are delicious. The coleslaw is great. The turkey was a bit dry, but still very tasty. My son raves about the Heisman. Will definitely be back. I'll just call ahead to make sure they have hot links on hand ?
