We went to Friday at 5 pm for fish and chips during lent. Very happy with portions, service, and taste!
The food is very good. The server was professional. The only criticism I have was the lady at the register when I paid out. I didn’t realize that the server would be our cashier. So we took the ticket up front. The lady working the counter got really cranky with me. She must’ve been having a rough night.
I’m sure that people can come here and have a wonderful experience from time to time, but that has not been the case for us just yet. Long wait times for food items or a table. They are obviously understaffed. But the people who work there are polite and friendly!
Tonight we were quoted 30 minutes for our to go order. When we arrived, it was not ready. No big deal! But, after the staff was unsure how to use a gift card and then having to wait in a lengthy line to retrieve...read full review

Based on the reviews, Poplar Restaurant | Pizza offers a large selection of food on their eclectic menu. Everything has been fantastic and incredible. The CharBQ chicken wings are a favorite, alongside the Greek Souvlaki Salad, pizzas, and loafers. The haddock dinner is amazing with top quality batter and fish. The pizza is really good, and the pizza pockets are basically Italian egg rolls. The fried chicken dinner is an incredible value with plump and juicy chicken. The sweet potato fries are the best, and the green beans are also amazing. The Poplar red sauce is perfect. The iced tea is brewed nice and strong. The service is amazing, with a server who was super helpful and attentive. The wait staff was more than helpful. However, some customers noted a long wait for drinks and orders, possibly due to short staffing. Another issue was waiting customers standing very close to tables near the entrance. Despite this, the food is fantastic and the staff does a great job meeting needs.
