My brother was in from out of town California. His wife wanted some Mexican food so we picked this place. The food was darn good and my sister-in-law speak Spanish and so does the owner so I had the waitress bring him out so they could have a conversation about how good the food was.
It's a tradition to go there whenever we are in town, and in the past, it's always been really good. However, this last time it left a little something to be desired. Let's start with service, definitely understaffed and disorganized. Then, cold queso dip and stale tortilla chips. We've always liked coming to Maria's, but our last visit was disappointing.They were a little busy, so we understood it took a while to take our orders.But then we were told they don't do 2-for-tuesday tacos anymore. You have to buy them 3 at a time. My elderly Mom can barely finish 2 tacos. The 2fer was perfect, and the 3 of us would always order drinks and queso so as to not be total tightwads, lol.
